4. Core Responsibilities
i. To uphold and update the constitution of the Society and its official
sub committees.
ii. To produce and maintain a Strategic Plan and Annual Business Plan
for the Society in association with the BSDHT Executive Team.
iii. To produce an annual budget and deliver financial performance to
this.
iv. Monitor and seek to expand membership growth.
v. To facilitate the meetings of the Council and the Executive Team of
the Councils and other such meetings as deemed necessary.
vi. Maintain close liaison with the Information Services and
Membership Services co-ordinators over the day-to-day
administration and organisation of the Society.
vii.To maintain a petty cash account for all expenses related to the role
of the Business Development Manager.
viii. To act as the focal point for BSDHT to maintain close working
relationships with other similar organisation and commercial
partners.
ix. To maintain and source funding and sponsorship opportunities for
BSDHT in line with the business plan.
x. To negotiate and organise the venue for the annual general assembly
of members, dinner and scientific meeting, and any extra ordinary
meetings that are deemed necessary to hold. In addition organise
the registration of such meetings and liaise with the venue
authorities.
xi. To carry out all other duties that the Executive Team of the Council
may from time to time deem necessary.
