OneSAF ® and Electronic Warfare (EW) Possibilities
Northern Edge Joint Exercise Example:
Tested F-35’s radar system’s electronic protection (EP)
ability to counter multiple advanced electronic attacks
(EA)
OneSAF’s attributes (composabililty, extensibility, interoperability, etc.) could be
leveraged to simulate an EW joint exercise similar to Northern Edge:
• Compose required air/ground/sea entities and units
• Reuse/enhance/develop associated models and behaviors
– Example: Reuse ground mobility models
– Example: Enhance current OneSAF jamming behavior
– Example: Develop models for F-35 radar system and several types of EA
• Utilize and enhance existing integrations to provide:
– High-resolution emulation of wired and radio frequency (RF) networks
– Real-time RF propagation modeling
