I wish to volunteer to be a mentor to <strong>residents</strong>. Laboratory is investigating hepatitis C virus (HCV)<br />

pathogenesis focusing on the role <strong>of</strong> the CXCR3-associated chemokines as mediators <strong>of</strong> hepatic<br />

inflammation and as potential biomarkers <strong>of</strong> hepatic fibrosis. Also investigating methods to engage<br />

disenfranchised populations with high prevalence <strong>of</strong> HCV infection (e.g., those on methadone<br />

maintenance) into treatment.<br />
