TRANSPORTATION<br />
The projects are all close to your living arrangements, however, in most cases<br />
you will need to ride the bus to your project. You will be given transportation<br />
money from VASE for this purpose.<br />
Taxis are fairly cheap in Ecuador($1 USD for a short ride of approximately 2 km).<br />

To cover longer distances (for example to<br />
Guayaquil or Cuenca), you should use a<br />
well-known bus company, for instance<br />
“PanAmericana” or “TransEsmeraldas”.<br />
These buses run several times a day.<br />
Ecuadorian transportation system is<br />
generally good, but crowded. Taxis run 24<br />
hours, and buses run from 5 o’clock in the<br />
morning until 10 o’clock at night.
