Previously at Arnold, she has won numerous awards from The<br />

One Show <strong>Ad</strong>/Design Annuals, Communication Arts Design/<br />

<strong>Ad</strong>/Illustration Annuals, Graphis Poster Annuals, Print Regional<br />

Design Annual, Art Directors <strong>Club</strong> Annual, and National Gold<br />

ADDYs. Because her mother was in the ad business, Sissy was sent<br />

off to The College of William & Mary and encouraged to be an<br />

accountant or business major. Instead, she followed the path of<br />

her art minor and is happy she did.<br />

Jay Giesen<br />

Executive Creative Director<br />

Brunner, Pittsburgh, PA<br />

Jay studied Art Direction at The Portfolio Center. He has<br />

created campaigns for brands from ketchup to weed whackers<br />

and embraces digital thinking as absolutely integral to success<br />

today. He has been honored in Communication Arts, The One<br />

Show, New York Art Directors <strong>Club</strong>, Clios, Kellys, Archive, Obies,<br />

ADDY Awards, et al. At 6’ 7”, Jay is always chosen first in pick-up<br />

basketball games, is a gourmet chef who views the cheeseburger<br />

as the ultimate culinary challenge, and at age 16, hitch hiked<br />

to California, which might be why he equates Jimmy Stewart’s<br />

performance in Harvey to Steinbeck’s Grapes Of Wrath for literary<br />

achievement.<br />

Mike Kubat<br />

Group Creative Director<br />

TracyLocke, Dallas, TX<br />

Bringing over 15 years of experience to the TracyLocke creative<br />

team, Mike Kubat is a cutting edge designer who constantly<br />

pushes strategic thinking to develop thought provoking and<br />

effective advertising. He is a Dallas transplant from Minneapolis.<br />

Prior to moving south, Mike worked for Best Buy <strong>Ad</strong>vertising,<br />

where he honed his skills and understanding of shopper<br />

marketing. His complete client list is quite impressive, garnering<br />

names like Pixar, DreamWorks, Target, St. Jude’s and Microsoft.<br />

Mike also recently won the RAC and Presidents Choice awards.


Roya Partovi<br />

Vice President, Associate Creative Director<br />

Publicis, New York, NY<br />

Roya Partovi is an Art Director with a colorful past. Born in Iran<br />

during the Revolution of 1978, her family soon relocated to<br />

Germany where she was raised until the age of sixteen, when<br />

they relocated to the US. Roya graduated from the Art Center<br />

College of Design, Pasadena. She has worked at Fallon, on clients<br />

like BMW, Citibank, Subway, Amazon.com, and Silk Soy; Saatchi<br />

& Saatchi where she worked on Toyota, Revlon Walk/Run for<br />

Women’s Cancer, Toys for Tots, Make a Wish Foundation and<br />

Venice Arts. In 2010, she moved to NY to work at Euro RSCG as<br />

a lead creative on Charles Schwab and is currently at Publicis NY<br />

working on Proctor and Gamble’s Oral Care division.<br />

Christopher Warmanen<br />

Senior Vice President, Creative Director<br />

Leo Burnett USA, Chicago, IL<br />

Chris is a graduate of Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa, and the<br />

Portfolio Center in Atlanta, Georgia. He’s been a copywriter at<br />

Leo Burnett in Chicago since 1999. His client roster has included<br />

Morgan Stanley, Toys “R” Us, Hallmark, Crayola, PetSmart and<br />

Exclusive Resorts. Currently, he works on the Allstate account<br />

where he leads local marketing efforts. He’s won an ADDY Award,<br />

Gold Racies, a GLAAD Amplifier Award, a Radio Mercury Award<br />

and a Gold Effie for the Sustained Success of Allstate’s “Our Stand”<br />

campaign.

Matthew Carroll<br />

Creative Director/Designer<br />

Wieden+Kennedy, Portland<br />

Matthew is an art director and writer at Wieden + Kennedy,<br />

Portland. His work for Old Spice, Nike and Starbucks has gained<br />

international recognition for hot creativity, effectiveness and<br />

being pretty cool. He has taught typography and design at<br />

Portland State University and was a National Science Foundation<br />

Fellowship recipient at California Institute of Technology in 2002.<br />

Matthew received an MFA in Media Design from Art Center<br />

College of Design in Pasadena. In his free time he roller skates<br />

backwards and raises a small person.<br />

Michael Davis<br />

Chief Creative Officer<br />

imc2, Dallas<br />

Michael has been a journalist, cinematographer, artist, creative<br />

director and agency leader earning him three Personal<br />

Achievement Emmy Awards. His work has been recognized at<br />

Turin, Cannes, One Show and international film festivals.

 In<br />

1998, he and friends started a new HBO funded digital media<br />

channel that blurred the lines between browser and tube. Our<br />

social content strategy launched one of the largest advertising<br />

supported channels in the US and Europe. Several campaigns<br />

are featured in Motion TVFILM, a hardcover book published by<br />

HarperCollins/NYC. Currently, his leadership at imc² is focused<br />

on The Relationship Era. His recent work has been featured in<br />

Forbes, Fortune, <strong>Ad</strong>age, <strong>Ad</strong>week, Mashable and Contagious.<br />

Amy Elkins<br />

Senior Art Director<br />

Martin Agency, Richmond<br />

Amy began her career in 1996, as a pioneer in The Martin Agency’s<br />

interactive department helping design Coca-Cola’s first website.<br />

Over the years, she continued to create digital work for Coca-<br />

Cola and other brands including Marriott, Seiko, Gerber, Saab,<br />

Finlandia, Dasani, and others. Today, she creates integrated<br />

campaigns and enjoys working in all mediums — print, broadcast,<br />

digital, whatever. Her recent campaigns for Hanes, Barely There,<br />

Newseum, and Moen are among her favorites. Amy’s work has<br />

been featured in The One Show, NY Art directors <strong>Club</strong>, CA, Echoes,<br />

Caples, Obie Awards, Kelly Awards, Graphis, and more.


Jason Ferrara<br />

Rockfish Interactive, Rogers, AZ<br />

Jason has an art director background and over twelve years<br />

industry experience specializing in online marketing and<br />

advertising campaigns. He has been privileged to work at Viant,<br />

Brann Forbes, imc2 and Rockfish, as well as an in-house position<br />

as Creative Director for Match.com. During this time, Jason lead<br />

creative teams with the goal of transforming creative briefs<br />

into big brand ideas and truly immersive online experiences for<br />

Crest, MAX Factor, Olay, Old Spice, Sam’s <strong>Club</strong>, Secret and Tag<br />

Body Spray. He has won 3 Interactive Media Awards, 3 Internet<br />

<strong>Ad</strong>vertising Competition Awards and 3 ADDY Awards.<br />

Joseph Mayernik<br />

Creative Camp Counselor<br />

StormFrog, Victor, NY<br />

A song-and-dance-and-DJ man, Joe is also known as an<br />

internationally recognized award-winning Creative Director<br />

responsible for shaping brands as diverse as General Motors and<br />

the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra. At 6’4”, it’s little wonder<br />

Joe likes thinking big. At StormFrog, a digital marketing company<br />

in Western New York, Joe brings agency thinking in strategic<br />

communications by integrating brands on the web with traditional<br />

touch points. Equally at ease with a stylus pen or marker, Joe’s<br />

By now it’s no secret. Big Bang Theory has arrived in<br />

Philadelphia and has taken the market by storm. As<br />

Dr. Sheldon Cooper might say, the show is like a Red<br />

Giant star that propels itself into a great ball of fiery<br />

devastation that upsets the balance of a solar system’s<br />

acceptable levels of cosmic mass. In other words…it’s<br />

the show on PHL17 at 7:30 & 11. The nerd herd of super<br />
