The Gold Coast is a modern, dynamic and sophisticated city and
the gateway to Southeast Queensland’s most spectacular natural
attractions. The Gold Coast has a wide variety of built and natural
attractions including 70km of beaches with an average water
temperature of 22 degrees, theme parks, major shopping centres,
galleries, boutiques and markets, tropical rainforest with abundant
wildlife and numerous bush walks.

a natural bushland settings located:
• 20 minutes from Southport
• 1 hour from Brisbane CBD and Airport
• 45 minutes from Coolangatta Airport.

Transport to and from the College:
Bus - The College is well-serviced by bus
transport, with a number of routes throughout the surrounding
districts. Students using bus services are supervised by staff within
the College grounds, until the bus departs.
Rail - Coomera Railway Station is approximately 1km from the
College and is met by a bus service at specific times.
Car - The College campus is only metres from the Pacific Motorway,
almost opposite Dreamworld theme park. Motorists travelling
along the Motorway (M1) take Exit 54.
Homestay can be arranged with our associates at Eastern Shores

Coomera Anglican College was established in 1997 and designed around a beautiful
10-hectare site. Modern buildings, equipped with state-of-the-art facilities have
been constructed to keep up with the growth and development of the College,
designed to harmonise with the natural bushland surroundings. The College is
open to all students supportive of the College ethos, regardless of their ethnic or
religious origins.
The College is registered to accept international students from Year 4 to Year
12. We work closely with a reputable Homestay Agency to ensure that students
travelling alone are well cared for in the home of a local family. Secondary students
must have completed a High School Preparation course prior to entering Coomera
Anglican College, to help them assimilate to life in Australian schools and feel more
confident with their English language skills.
Upon enrolment students enter classes with local students and receive some
specialist English support classes each week as part of their programme. This
immersion into Australian culture and English language for international students
has enabled many students to progress to University education upon graduation.
The College also welcomes visits from small groups of students from schools and
colleges overseas as part of cultural tours in Australia. Full tour programmes can
be arranged including academic, English learning and recreational activities.
Secondary subjects include:
Mathematics, Science and Technology: including Biology, Chemistry and Physics,
Information Processing Technology, Food Technology, Design & Technology and
Graphics.
Arts: including Visual Art, Drama, Music, Multi Media and Film & Television Studies.
Humanities & Communications: including English, Studies of Society and
Environment, Ancient History, Modern History, Accounting, Business Education,
Religious & Values Education, Legal Studies, Geography, Language Other Than
English and ESL as required.
Health & Physical Education: including Swimming, Athletics and Cross Country,
European Handball, Basketball, Tennis, Softball, Cricket and much more...

Coomera Training College provides nationally recognised
tertiary education and training services across a range
of industry areas including Business, Children’s Services,
Fitness, Hospitality, Marketing and Tourism. Classes are
small and courses are delivered by qualified staff with a focus
on achieving quality outcomes. Coomera Training College is
an initiative of Coomera Anglican College and as such enjoys
the full use of facilities and resources of the parent College.
Students have the opportunity to study certificate level
qualifications as a part of their senior secondary studies. Year
12 graduates may gain direct entry into tertiary diploma level
qualifications. Students may then go on to seek employment
or continue further study at university through this unique
vocational pathway.
