B.R. HESTER COMPLEX
The Clute Parks Department and Clute Visitors Bureau are moving
into a new building. The B. R. Hester Complex in Clute Municipal
Park will house both departments’ offices along with the Clute
Event Center, Clute Conference Room and the Clute Fitness Center.

Clute Visitors Bureau at 979-265-2508.
CLUTE EVENT CENTER is available to rent for your business,
organization, corporate and personal events. This room is
approximately 3,000 square foot. It features banquet or lecture
seating, a full service kitchen, and audio video equipment, dance
floor and other amenities. Please contact the parks department
for reservation information and availability.
CLUTE CONFERENCE ROOM is available to rent for your small
meetings.
CLUTE FITNESS CENTER presents an opportunity for the citizens
of Clute to participate in their own wellness program in their
home city. A membership is required to access the Fitness Center.
Annual or monthly memberships will be available for families and
individuals. Please call the Clute Parks Department for membership
opportunities and cost.
CHRISTMAS TREE RECYCLE
Clute’s Sanitation Department will begin picking up discarded
Christmas trees curbside, Wednesday, January 9th to assist our
local beaches with dune repair projects.

Operating Hours: Mon - Sat. 1 p.m. - 6:30 p.m. & Sunday 1 - 5:30 p.m.
Admissions: 0 - 7 yrs. $1; 8 - 17 yrs. $2; 18 yrs. and Over $3; Sr. Citizens (60 +) $1; Spectator Fee $2.
Under 8 yrs. Must be accompanied by parent/guardian. NO EXCEPTIONS!
Private Parties: $75 deposit, rental fee for a 2 hour party $85, rental fee for a 3 hour party $115.
Lifeguards are $9 per guard per hour, with a minimum of 2 guards per party.

32nd ANNUAL CHRISTMAS IN THE PARK
Thursday, December 5th, & Friday, December 6th, 5:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m.,
and Saturday, December 7th, 4:00 p.m. - 9:00 p.m. at Clute
Municipal Park. Come enjoy the sights and sounds of the holiday
season and view the lighted displays, beautifully decorated Christmas
trees, visits with Santa, entertainment by local dance groups
and choirs. Don’t forget to get your free marshmallows to roast over

RESIDENTIAL CURBSIDE RECYCLING RULES
1. Recyclables must be at curbside no later than 7:30 a.m. each Wednesday. Recyclables placed
at curbside after 7:30 a.m. may not be picked up until your next scheduled pick up date.
2. ONLY city approved, tied, blue bags not to exceed 50 lbs. will be accepted.
3. All cardboard must be flattened.
4. Newspaper accepted in Brown & Blue grocery bags.
5. Wet newspaper & cardboard will not be picked up.
6. Rinse & Clean all food and beverage containers.
7. Motor Oil will not be accepted.
8. GLASS Containers will NOT be accepted.
9. The City of Clute reserves the right to refuse any unacceptable items.

TIME TO START WORKING OUT – GET HEALTHY HERE
Memberships are required for entrance into this facility.
This room features new cardio equipment including treadmills, elliptical cross
trainers, recumbent cycles, adaptive motion trainers, upright cycles and an indoor
cycle. The treadmills and cross trainers are all equipped with individual 15” LCD
personal TV viewing screens. Other cardio equipment features earphone ports
so that you can listen to any of the flat screen TV’s that are mounted in the room.
There are multiple screens to choose from for your viewing pleasure. There
is an area for free weights, an upper body ergometer with adjustable console.
Individual stations include a stretch trainer, leg press bench, leg extension and
seated leg curl. We invite you to become a member of the Clute Fitness Center.

Reservations are being taken now for this facility.
This new 3,000 sq. foot facility is available now to rent for your next
event. The room can be set up for banquet seating, with chairs and tables for
approximately 200 guests, or you may set it up in a lecture style for approximately
300 guests. A full service kitchen, serving area is available for rent. Kitchen
amenities include a stove top, oven, microwave, sink, two refrigerators and a
serving bar. Other amenities available to rent for your event include a dance floor
(two configurations are available), a podium with amplified sound, a projector
and screen. The facility has its own front entrance with a vestibule and reception
area. We invite you to have your next event at the Clute Event Center.
