Evergreen Construction President<br />

Roger E. Ashley (BCN 1974) has<br />

been named Chairman <strong>of</strong> the Fulton<br />

Education Foundation Board <strong>of</strong> Directors<br />

for the 2012-<strong>2013</strong> term which<br />

commenced July 1, 2012. Founded in<br />

1986, the Fulton Education Foundation<br />

was created to extend the reach <strong>of</strong><br />

the Fulton County <strong>School</strong> Board and<br />

strengthen the relationship between<br />

schools and their community. The<br />

Foundation enhances the performance<br />

and lives <strong>of</strong> Fulton County students and faculty by facilitating innovative<br />

programs in four key areas: Student Achievement, Physical<br />

Well-Being <strong>of</strong> Students, Pr<strong>of</strong>essional Development and Teaching<br />

Methods, and Teacher and Staff Recognition. Ashley, president<br />

and founding principal <strong>of</strong> Atlanta-based Evergreen Construction,<br />

has served on the Foundation’s board since 2010. A Fulton County<br />

resident, Ashley has been actively involved in numerous civic organizations<br />

including The United Way, The Boy Scouts <strong>of</strong> America,<br />

The Woodruff Arts Center and the Northside Youth Organization.<br />

Hedrick Brothers Construction Co., Inc., one <strong>of</strong> the largest, locally-owned<br />

construction management and general contracting firms<br />

based in Palm Beach County, was presented with the AIA Florida<br />

2012 Builder <strong>of</strong> the Year Award at the American Institute <strong>of</strong> Architects<br />

Florida (AIA Florida) 2012 Annual Convention in Palm<br />

Beach, Florida. This award recognizes a company or firm in Florida<br />

who has exemplified a sincere and genuine interest in encouraging<br />

and affecting outstanding craftsmanship and workmanship in the<br />

performance <strong>of</strong> work. The company was nominated by Dailey Janssen<br />

Architects for their performance together on an oceanfront residential<br />

renovation in Jupiter<br />
