CNO Shore Investment Strategy
• Historically, Navy has taken significant risk
in shore readiness to increase investment in
afloat readiness and future platforms and
weapons systems
• Beginning in POM-10, CNO directed Shore
Investment Strategy Task Force with desired
effects:
‣ Informed, Capabilities-Based Investment
‣ Mission Alignment and Readiness
‣ Quality of Service (QOS)
‣ Joint and Community Integration
Shore Investment Strategy arrests and
reverses the decline in Shore Infrastructure
condition, capability, and readiness.
