Manage the configuration 2 The delete operation is used to remove or disable part of the configuration. The following example disables MSTP on the managed device. Manage the configuration Network OS provides the custom PRC for performing any of the following operations: • Copy the running-config file to the startup-config file. • Copy the running-config file to a remote file. • Copy the startup-config file to a remote file. • Copy a remote file to the running-config file. • Copy a remote file to the startup-config file. Some simple examples are provided here. The most common configuration management operation is to copy the running-config file to the startup-config file. You must perform this operation to save configuration changes across reboots.
