Infrastructure (PKI) based on a<br />
sound policy/guidance framework<br />
1. Implement the Federal Bridge<br />
Certification Authority, using at least four<br />
different Certification Authority products.<br />

Government PKI and at least one State or<br />
local Government PKI.<br />
3. Evolve the Federal White Pages<br />
Directory (“directory.gov”) to support<br />
public certificates for the Governmentwide<br />
PKI infrastructure.<br />
4. Recommend guidelines for the use of PKI<br />
in securing government services.<br />
Objective 2.2:<br />
Establish the use of open,<br />
standards-based architectures.<br />
1. Create models for Federal architecture<br />
segments.<br />
2. Promote common processes in specific<br />
functional areas across Government<br />
agencies.<br />
3. Develop an on-line information resource<br />
(at xml.gov) defining and documenting an<br />
evolving strategy and set of tasks for the<br />
effective and well-coordinated usage of the<br />
eXtensible Markup Language (XML) to<br />
