. Wall signs<br />

d. Ground (Pole or Pylon) signs<br />

i. A permit may be obtained to erect multiple wall signs<br />

on each wall facing a street or public right-<strong>of</strong>-way,<br />

excluding those walls abutting single or multifamily<br />

residential land uses. Such wall signs shall<br />

meet the letter height and sign size requirements<br />

defined in subsection 6a based on the speed <strong>of</strong> the<br />

facing roadway. The total area <strong>of</strong> all wall signs on<br />

such a wall shall occupy no more than 50 percent<br />

<strong>of</strong> the total wall area.<br />

ii. Wall signs may be internally or externally illuminated.<br />

c. Projecting signs<br />

i. One ground (pole or pylon) sign is permitted for each<br />

structure with accessible street frontage.<br />

ii. Ground (pole or pylon) signs are permitted in lieu <strong>of</strong><br />

ro<strong>of</strong> and projecting signs.<br />

iii. Ground (pole or pylon) signs may be internally or<br />

externally illuminated.<br />

iv. Ground signs may revolve.<br />

e. Ro<strong>of</strong> signs<br />

i. One projecting sign shall be permitted for each<br />

structure with accessible street frontage in lieu <strong>of</strong> a<br />

ground or ro<strong>of</strong> sign.<br />

ii. Projecting signs may be illuminated. Those projecting<br />

over a parkway must be internally illuminated.<br />

iii. Projecting signs may revolve.<br />

iv. Projecting signs must have a minimum clearance<br />

<strong>of</strong> 8 feet from the bottom <strong>of</strong> the sign to the grade<br />

below.<br />

i. <strong>An</strong> organization which inhabits a structure with<br />

accessible street frontage shall be permitted to erect<br />

one ro<strong>of</strong> sign as a permanent sign.<br />

ii. Ro<strong>of</strong> signs may not be displayed on properties<br />

displaying ground or projecting signs.<br />

iii. Ro<strong>of</strong> signs may be internally or externally<br />

illuminated.<br />

iv. Ro<strong>of</strong> signs shall be setback a minimum <strong>of</strong> three<br />

feet from the edge <strong>of</strong> the exterior wall on which<br />

the sign is located.<br />

v. Projecting signs may be located no closer than 10<br />

feet to each other.<br />
