Overview<br />

The ISHA Annual Scientific <strong>Meeting</strong> provides a unique international forum for attendees to share scientific<br />

information and learn the latest advances of arthroscopic surgery of the hip. This three day meeting includes a<br />

variety of symposia and lectures. Additionally, hands on model lab, electronic posters and technical exhibits<br />

are offered.<br />

Target Audience<br />

Orthopaedic Surgeons, Physical Therapists, Specialty Physicians, Athletic Trainers, Physician Assistants,<br />

Rehabilitation Therapists, Medical Students, Residents and Fellows<br />

Learning Objectives<br />

At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be better able to:<br />

‣ Describe the pertinent arthroscopic anatomy and physiology of the lower extremity, pelvis and hip<br />

joint<br />

‣ Identify standard portal placement for central and peripheral compartments<br />

‣ Define and implement hip arthroscopy techniques in their practice<br />

‣ Define the new technologies currently available for hip arthroscopy surgery, as well as the<br />

advantages and disadvantages of different surgical techniques<br />

‣ Define how to use the new technology in their practice and implement various methods of operative<br />

hip arthroscopy, including debridement, labral repair and correction of impingement<br />

Accreditation for General Sessions<br />

This activity is planned and implemented in accordance with the Essential Areas and Policies of the<br />

Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint sponsorship of Medical<br />

Education Resources (MER), International Society for Hip Arthroscopy (ISHA) and MCJ Consulting. MER is<br />

accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.<br />

Medical Education Resources designate this live activity for a maximum of 18.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits .<br />

Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.<br />
