NaTe KMIC<br />
running BaCKs<br />
Nate Kmic is in his second season as an assistant<br />
coach at <strong>Mount</strong> <strong>Union</strong> and will work with the running backs.<br />
Kmic was a four-year letterwinner and one <strong>of</strong> the team<br />
captains in 2008 for <strong>Mount</strong> <strong>Union</strong>.A three-time All-OAC and<br />
All-American running back, Kmic earned the 2008 Melberger<br />
Award as he set an NCAA All-Divisions record with<br />
2,790 yards as he helped <strong>Mount</strong> <strong>Union</strong> to its 10th National<br />
Championship. Kmic also holds the NCAA All-Divisions<br />
record for rushing yards in a career with 8,074 yards.<br />
LUKe sUMMers<br />
<strong>of</strong>fensive Line<br />
Luke Summers is in his second year as an assistant<br />
football coach and will work with the <strong>of</strong>fensive line. Summers<br />
played in 43 games for the Purple Raiders and was<br />
part <strong>of</strong> the 2006 and 2008 National Championship teams.<br />
As a senior in 2008, he earned All-OAC First Team and<br />
D3<strong>Football</strong>.com All-American honors. He graduated from<br />
<strong>Mount</strong> <strong>Union</strong> with a degree in business administration.<br />
MIChaeL CasCO<br />
safeties<br />
Michael Casco is in his third year as an assistant coach<br />
at <strong>Mount</strong> <strong>Union</strong> and will work with the safeties. Casco<br />
graduated from Kent State in 2005 and spent three years<br />
in the insurance industry before joining the Raiders. The<br />
Westlake, Ohio, native also holds a master’s degree from<br />
Case Western Reserve <strong>University</strong>.<br />
JaKe WarreNs<br />
QuarterBaCKs<br />
Jake Warrens is in his second season as an assistant<br />
coach at <strong>Mount</strong> <strong>Union</strong> and will work with the quarterbacks.<br />
For the last two seasons, he has assisted in scouting, film<br />
work and recruiting among other administrative tasks in the<br />
program. The Hartford, Michigan, native has also worked as<br />
a quarterbacks coach and <strong>of</strong>fensive coordinator at Sebring<br />
High School.<br />
Dr. rOGer PaLUTsIs<br />
team DoCtor<br />
Roger S. Palutsis, M.D., an orthopedic surgeon with the<br />
Carnation Clinic in Alliance, OH, is in his 19th year working<br />
with the <strong>Mount</strong> <strong>Union</strong> football program as a team doctor.<br />
Palutsis is a 1985 graduate <strong>of</strong> the Rush Medical College <strong>of</strong><br />
Rush <strong>University</strong> in Chicago, IL.<br />
Dr. MIKe MCGraDY<br />
team DoCtor<br />
Michael McGrady, M.D., a family practitioner with<br />
the Family Medical Center in Alliance, OH, who has been<br />
associated with the College since 1977, is in his 13th year<br />
working with the <strong>Mount</strong> <strong>Union</strong> football program as a team<br />
doctor. McGrady is a 1974 graduate <strong>of</strong> the Medical College<br />
<strong>of</strong> Ohio.<br />
DarYL eLY<br />
seConDary<br />
Daryl Ely is in his second season as an assistant<br />
coach at <strong>Mount</strong> <strong>Union</strong> and will work both the safeties and<br />
defensive backs. Ely was a three-year letterwinner and one<br />
<strong>of</strong> the team captains in 2008 for <strong>Mount</strong> <strong>Union</strong>. A two-time<br />
All-OAC and All-American defensive back, Ely earned the<br />
2008 Lee Tressel Award as the top defensive back in the<br />
OAC and graduated this past spring from <strong>Mount</strong> <strong>Union</strong> with<br />
a degree in sport business.<br />
