The E²Brain Solution<br />

E²Brain (<strong>Embedded</strong> Electronic Brain) Computer-On-<br />

Modules are a perfect fit for embedded applications<br />

requiring RISC performance and low power consumption.<br />

They support PowerPC, XScale and other processors in a<br />

wide performance range.<br />

All modules feature a common basic system and communications<br />

interface with PCI, LPC, I²C, Ethernet and serial<br />

ports. A number of optional interfaces, including CAN,<br />

UTOPIA and more, tailor the modules for specific application<br />

areas. All modules are characterized by an excellent<br />

performance/power consumption ratio qualifying<br />

them for use in the extended temperature range<br />

(-40° to 85°C).<br />

E²Brain modules, like ETX, are installed on application<br />

specific carrier boards providing the physical interfaces<br />

for all used ports. Additional I/O and peripheral devices,<br />

if necessary, are interfaced as PCI or LPC bus peripherals.<br />
