Looking-glass, looking-glass, what do you see?
Do I look at you, or do you look at me?
Looking-glass, looking-glass, show me a sign -
Whose world is real, yours or mine? (END OF SONG)I
It’s ever so funny in the Looking-Glass world; first, there’s the room you
can see through the glass - it’s just the same as our drawing-room,
only the things go the other way. And my jumble corner, where I keep
all my toys and lost bits of games, is in the opposite corner.
And the chess pieces...(She picks up a chess piece - set on the
mantelpiece, if there is one) .. are all inside out. But wouldn’t it be an
adventure to get through into the Looking-Glass world and see how
things really are there..
Now let’s pretend there’s a way of getting through the Looking-Glass.
let’s pretend the glass has gone all soft, so that I can get through. Why,
it’s turning into a sort of mist now, I declare...(lighting transformation
starts - smoke if possible)It’ll be easy enough to climb through...(the
transformation continues as Alice climbs through the mirror)... my
goodness! I am through! (transformation finishes) I’m in Looking-
Glass Land!
