But only flowers - no-one to talk to. O Tiger-Lily, I wish you could talk.
I can talk, when there’s anyone worth talking to.
And can all the flowers talk?

Be quiet, you daisies.
They’re the worst of all. When one speaks, they all speak.
You see, the ground here is very hard.

In most gardens the beds are too soft - so the flowers are always
asleep.
