DEADLINE, JULY 15.
Martin R. Anderson’s pinhole photograph,
Brooklyn, Manhattan Bridge, was
accepted into Krappy Kamera X, juried
by Jill Enfield and exhibited at the Soho
Photo Gallery in New York from March
4 – 29. This is the third Krappy Kamera
competition into which Martin’s work
has been accepted.
As a winner of the 2007 Grant in
Photography from the Massachusetts
Cultural Council, David J. Bookbinder
will be in the upcoming group show,
Uncommon Denominator, at the Trustman
Art Gallery. In addition, he was invited
to launch a blog on the spirituality
portal Beliefnet.com. The blog, “Flower
Mandalas,” features ongoing discussions
about art, healing, and transformation.

Peter Engeldrum’s new prize-winning
work, MyTubes #1, was displayed at
the Concord Art Association’s Members’
Juried Show on February 14 – March 16.
This photograph was an outcome of
Peter having attended the six-week PRC
Portfolio Project this past fall.
Jim Fitts, Executive Director of the
PRC and part-time teacher at the
Center for Digital Imaging Arts at
Boston University, exhibited a number
of his photographs in their exhibition
entitled, Diverse. The exhibition showcased
the work of 18 working artists
who are faculty members of the
Professional Photography Certificate
Program at CDIABU in Waltham, MA.
Tom Gearty is the recipient of a 2008
grant from the Cambridge Arts Council
for his “Twice Seen” project. An image
from his “Commentaries” series was a
prize winner at the 10th Annual Fidelity
Investments All Media Juried Exhibition at
the Providence Arts Club. Also, images
from his work in El Salvador will be featured
in the fall at the Adams Gallery
at Suffolk University Law School on
Tremont Street in Boston.
There will be three exhibitions of
Paul Cary Goldberg’s photographs this
spring/summer. A solo exhibition of
his work, Recent Reflections, will be held
at the Pucker Gallery in Boston, MA
from May 10 – June 8. To see an online

exhibition of various works will be
presented at The Helen Bumpus Gallery
in Duxbury, MA during July and August.
There will be an artist’s talk on July 19.
A two person show will be held at the
Shalom Gallery in Tel Aviv, Israel, June
through September.
Richard H. Goldman is exhibiting ten
prints from his African tree-landscape
portfolio in a four-person show at
Verve Fine Arts in Santa Fe, NM,
May 16 – July 12.
Fran Osborn-Blaschke had two photographs
on display in the show, Going to
the Dogs, at the Brush Gallery in Lowell,
MA. The show opened on April 13 and
was juried by Katherine French of the
Danforth Museum of Art.
Lissa Rivera was named one of the
Women to Watch 2008 by the Massachusetts
State Committee of the National
Museum of Women in the Arts.
John O. Roy, a recent graduate of the
Center for Digital Imaging Arts at
Boston University, will be having a gallery
show at the Peabody Public Library
from June 3 – June 30. John’s images of
machinery and of urban landscapes are
going to be on display. To view his work

Recent work by Dianna Rust can be
seen in an installation called Inside-
Outside. This is a joint project with
filmmaker Walter Ungerer and it will be
exhibited at the Brattleboro Museum &
Art Center from April 19 – August 3 in
Brattleboro, VT.
Cindy Stephens’s image, Fog, was accepted
at the Members’ Juried II Exhibition
at the Concord Art Association by juror
Fabio J. Fernandez. She also has a piece
in the Juried II Exhibition 2008 at the
Brush Art Gallery in Lowell, MA, March

Peter Urban’s recent work for CVS
Pharmacy was featured in the March
issue of Photo District News. He is
currently working on his “Proof of
Motion” series, which re-conceives the
Eadweard Muybridge motion studies
as contemporary cultural metaphor.
Photographer Larry Fink chose four
images from this series for the Camera
Club of New York’s National Photography
Competition. “Proof of Motion” was also
one of four Fellowship Proposals to be
recognized by the Houston Center for
Photography for 2008.
Recent recognition of Paul Weiner’s
work include First Place in the Photo
Review’s 23rd International Photography
Competition, and the award of Best
of Show in two juried competitions in
Massachusetts: The Newburyport Art
Association’s 10th Annual Regional Juried
Show and the LynnArts’ Works on Paper.
In addition, his flashlight portraits were
selected for 1212 Gallery’s National Juried
Photography Exhibition 2007 in Richmond,
VA and Project Basho’s ONWARD ’08
a national juried exhibition in
Philadelphia, PA.
