Welcome to Ogeechee Farms and our First Annual Angus Production Sale! We have been working toward this event for 

over a decade and appreciate your interest in our program. 

Ours is a family business, and our goal from day one has been to produce functional, profitable cattle with the genetics to 

excel in all segments of the industry. We have acquired cows from some of the elite Angus herds in the nation, representing 

the most proven cow families in the breed. And we have ventured to improve those females, and most importantly, their 

daughters and granddaughters, by carefully mating them to genetically superior bulls that excel for the economically 

important traits. All of our breeding, selection and management decisions are made in attempt to keep the “Business in 

Balance”. 

We along with our partners, CAM Ranches and Double B Farms, are offering females from the heart of our programs. You 

will not find finer folks than the McPeake’s and Bamberg’s, and all of the cattle in this offering are guaranteed 100%. 

We have been fortunate to build relationships with some of the very best cattlemen in the cattle business. We have bought 

cows from many of them, sold bulls to others, sought advice from some, and just observed others from a distance. Those 

that have helped us are too many to mention, but we do cherish the friendships that we have made in our attempt to 

somehow improve the best breed on the planet and provide dependable, profitable Angus genetics for the beef industry. 

There is one person that we must acknowledge and thank: Clint’s dad and Smitty’s uncle, Wynder Smith. Without 

Wynder’s unwavering belief in us and often unsolicited advice, this sale would not be possible. 

The future is bright for functional, fault free, efficient cattle, and we are even more excited about the business of breeding 

Angus cattle than when we began in 1997. So please join us May 3rd at the farm in Wadley.

The first annual Ogeechee Angus Production Sale will be full of fun, Southern hospitality and outstanding Angus 

cattle. Clint Smith and Smitty Lamb are two of the most avid, energetic young Angus enthusiast one could meet. 

Their love for Angus cattle is best demonstrated by the quality and depth of the offering. Clint and Smitty have 

invited Bubba Bamberg, Double B Angus, Bamberg, SC and Andrew McPeake, CAM Ranches, Arnoldsville, GA. 

To be part of this Inaugural Sale and the combination of genetics that these young breeders have assembled is 

impressive. Georgia is the home to many great Angus breeding programs and Ogeechee Angus can be counted 

among the elite group of breeders. 

We think you will be impressed by the offering and we urge everyone to review the sale book. A tremendous amount 

of emphasis has been placed on top cow families with production and EPD’s. For example, Lot 1, GAR New Design 

1964, an outstanding daughter by 1407 out of the Deer Valley and Rutherford donor, GAR Precision 4519, a full 

sister to 2536. She’s good and proven! The addition of GAR Plowman G240 from Blake Callaway has been a great 

asset to the Ogeechee program. Direct daughters of G240 sired by Predestined and granddaughters of Objective 

and Retail Product are offered. G240 is the dam of many great females including “Z38” and you can add daughters 

to your program. When referring to numbers, Southern Blackcap 3686, Lot 5, a daughter of the $180,000.00 7L 

and Ankony Angus donor, Blackcap 8102 brings a great individual record and then, evaluates the scan data on the 

Retail Product daughters, Lots 5A,B and C. It is clear this family is something special. It is worth ones time to read 

the sale book and evaluate the offering of these three breeders.
