Since there are no buttons or snaps, it's an easy-on dress for little ones. Work fairly tightly for best results. If you crochet loosely, try a smaller hook. (50 sc)   Rounds 2-8: Ch 1, sc in the same st as joining, sc in the back loop only of each of the next 4 sts, hdc in the back loop only of each of the next 10 sts, dc in the back loop only of each of the next 20 sts, hdc in the back loop only of each of the next 10 sts, sc in the back loop only of each of the next 5 sts; join with a sl st in the back loop only of the first sc. Round 9: Ch 1, sc in the same st as joining, sc in the back loop only of each of the next 4 sts, hdc in the back loop only of each of the next 10 sts, dc in the back loop only of each of the next 20 sts, hdc in the back loop only of each of the next 10 sts, sc in the back loop only of each of the next 5 sts; join with a sl st through both loops in the first sc.
