Welcome to <strong>Muehlhan</strong> A/S<br />
As a supplier to <strong>Muehlhan</strong> there are a series of<br />
conditions of which you need to be aware and<br />
which are important to the <strong>safety</strong>.<br />
A safe workplace is also your responsibility! The<br />
workplace does not only consist of machines<br />
and equipment, but of you and your colleagues.<br />
We all have a responsibility <strong>for</strong> each other and<br />
with common sense and care we will get far.<br />
To a great extent, <strong>safety</strong> is a matter of attitude.<br />
As a result, all <strong>suppliers</strong> have to read and follow<br />
the guidelines of this brochure.<br />
Should you have any questions to the contents,<br />
please contact your contact person or the <strong>safety</strong><br />
representative.<br />
General <strong>safety</strong> rules<br />
The rules and regulations of the Health and<br />
Safety Act at Work and The Danish Working<br />
Environment Authority must always be<br />
observed, as well as the rules of the integrated<br />
management system (IMS), including OHSAS-<br />
18001 (work environment), ISO-14001<br />
(environmental) and ISO-9001 (quality).<br />
All <strong>Muehlhan</strong> <strong>suppliers</strong> and employees have the<br />
right and obligation to speak up, when work<br />
methods or other conditions jeopardize the<br />
<strong>safety</strong> at the work place.<br />
If the <strong>safety</strong> rules are violated, this must be<br />
reported to the <strong>Muehlhan</strong> <strong>safety</strong> representative.<br />

truck certificate and epoxy course)<br />
participate actively in the cooperation<br />
regarding <strong>safety</strong> and health<br />
in<strong>for</strong>m <strong>Muehlhan</strong>, if you find errors in<br />
the work place or accidents or near<br />
accidents<br />
Orientation meeting <strong>for</strong> <strong>suppliers</strong><br />
As a supplier to <strong>Muehlhan</strong> you need to<br />
familiarize yourself with the current <strong>safety</strong><br />
rules.<br />
The supplier is responsible <strong>for</strong> understanding<br />
the <strong>safety</strong> rules be<strong>for</strong>e beginning the work.<br />
You always can and should contact the <strong>safety</strong><br />
representative regarding the rules <strong>for</strong> <strong>safety</strong>,<br />
health and environment in the division.<br />
The Safety organisation consists of local <strong>safety</strong><br />
groups and a <strong>safety</strong> committee.<br />
Violating the <strong>safety</strong> rules may influence the<br />
agreed contract!
Main tasks of the Safety organisation<br />

To secure that all work is per<strong>for</strong>med in<br />
a sound manner regarding <strong>safety</strong> and<br />
health<br />
To secure a good working environment,<br />
both physically and mentally<br />
To secure that the external/outer<br />
environment is not damaged<br />
The <strong>safety</strong> representative<br />
The <strong>safety</strong> representative is always ready to<br />
answer questions, give <strong>instructions</strong> or provide<br />
advice regarding <strong>safety</strong> and work environment.<br />
Do not hold back – it is very important to<br />
eliminate any doubts, you may have.<br />
This may concern the daily work situation,<br />
suggestions <strong>for</strong> improvement of the <strong>safety</strong>,<br />
alcohol problems or bullying of employees and<br />
colleagues.<br />
Should you see or experience an accident, a<br />
near accident, lacks and deficiencies, or any<br />
problems which should be dealt with, contact<br />
the <strong>safety</strong> representative of the division.<br />
Remember, there are no dumb questions!<br />

Alcohol and smoking<br />
There are clear alcohol and smoking rules.<br />
As a supplier you are obliged to know and<br />
observe these rules. The rules are posted<br />
visibly in all departments and you may<br />
receive these at any time.<br />
Personal protective equipment<br />
At any time, it falls on each individual<br />
employee to use the personal protective<br />
equipment required <strong>for</strong> the work and make<br />
sure that this equipment is in sound<br />
working order.<br />
Mobile phones<br />
It is not allowed to use mobile phones in<br />
the paint workshops, unless they are<br />
ATEX classified.<br />
In general<br />
You need to stay in<strong>for</strong>med about the<br />
location of fire-fighting equipment, eye<br />
rinse, escape routes and emergency exits,<br />
in case an evacuation of the building is<br />
necessary.<br />
In case of serious accidents, personal<br />
injury, acute illness or fire, locate the<br />
nearest phone and<br />
CALL 112<br />
State your name, address, the nature of<br />
the accident and the number of injured.<br />
Help is then on its way.<br />
Workplace injury<br />
Workplace injuries have a harmful impact<br />
of a physical as well as mental nature. All<br />
work injuries must be reported to The<br />
Danish Working Environment Authority.<br />

4. Place reference (Square)<br />
5. Danger (Often orange and black)
