Basketball Senior Night
Jered Berry is the son of Yvette Berry. He is a 4 year letter winner in football where he was named
to the 1 st team All District, All Westbank, and All–Metro teams. He is also a 2 year letter winner
for basketball. He excels on and off the field and court where he maintains a 2.9 GPA. Jered is
undecided on his major, but he will attend the University of Louisiana Monroe.
Howard Trice Jr. is son of Howard Trice Sr. and Sabrina Trice and grandson of Darnella Hingle.
Howard is an excellent hustler and a big part of our team. This year Howard was a member of the
Varsity Football team and was awarded honors for his outstanding play on the football field.
Alvin Bailey III is the son of Alvin Bailey Jr. and Pamela Bailey. Alvin has been on the varsity
team for only half of this season, but he contributes a lot to the team when he is called upon to
play. He is an outstanding shooter and the boy’s basketball team is very happy to have him playing
with them this season. Basketball has been in this young man’s life since he was 2 years old when
he received a miniature basketball goal for Christmas. More importantly, he is known as a “good
kid” and a respectful young man. Alvin plans on attending college and majoring in
Communications. His parents would like to thank the Edna Karr Family, basketball team and
coaches for allowing their son Alvin Bailey, who they are so proud of, to fulfill his dream and be a
part of what was already a good team.
Alvin Davis a.k.a. “Sky” is the loved son of Robert and Deborah Garner. Sky has been a member of
the boy’s basketball team since the 8 th grade. This year he was awarded the honor of being a cocaptain
for the 2006-2007 basketball season. He has a well earned GPA of a 3.3 and plans on
attending LSU or ULL. Sky plans to major in business & accounting.
Darius Alexander is the son of Angelique and Dearvis Alexander. He has been on the boy’s
basketball team since he started here at Karr in the 9 th grade, and has been a member of the varsity
basketball team for 3 years now. He has managed to maintain a 3.2 GPA and plans to attend
college at ULL. Darius plans on majoring in Civil Engineering when he attends college next fall.
Darnell Williams is the son of James and Beanca Williams. He currently stays with his loving
aunt Adrian Victorian who allowed him to stay with her, so he could attend Karr for his senior
year. He has been playing basketball for Edna Karr since the 8 th grade. Darnell was a part of the
2002-2003 Karr middle school championship team. He was named Freshman MVP in 2004 and is
now a captain of this year’s team. Darnell plans to attend college at Southeastern Louisiana
University, Nicholls State, or ULL and major in accounting or business.

Kedrick Hogans Jr. is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Kedrick Hogans Sr. and the twin brother of Kiara
Hogans. He started playing Biddy Basketball when he was 11 years old. The following year he
played for the Louisiana Amazons AAU team. Although he did not make the Karr middle school
team, he was determined to make the team the next year and has been a member of the Karr varsity
team for the past four years. He has started since his sophomore year and been captain since his
junior year. He has won many awards over the years such as most improve player, player of the
week, outstanding athlete, MVP of the Jesuit tournament, All Metro, all tournament teams, and
All State. He also played AAU for the N.O. Panther Select since 2004. He is being recruited by
many schools in the Louisiana area and he plans to attend college and major in Accounting.
Korey Williams is the son of Diane Williams, born Jan. 28 1989. Korey has been a member of the
Varsity Football, Basketball, & Track teams since the 9 th grade. In Football, Korey had the honor
of making the All District, All State, and All Metro first teams. Korey has maintained a 3.0 GPA.
He signed with the University of Southern Miss on a football scholarship, where he plans to major
in sports medicine.
