2135 P 5c. carmine large “C” vertical strip of four from top of the sheet, the second stamp
showing variety “G” for “C”, printed both sides with inverted impression of
[26/36/46] on reverse of three lower stamps; extensive pressed creasing and some
soiling, and severed and rejoined from two vertical pairs. An extraordinary item and
undoubtedly unique with the error. B.P.A. Certificate (1998). Photo

45] respectively, on thin brownish coarse paper, both soiled. Scarce. Holcombe Opinion

packing up the level of the platen, the sheet from these, and those in the next lot, emanate.
