To apply to attend <strong>camp</strong>, which includes a host family stay:<br />
1. Contact the <strong>camp</strong> director listed below for more information (including additional<br />
eligibility requirements) <strong>and</strong>/or to obtain an application. In the event a <strong>camp</strong><br />
application is unavailable, a st<strong>and</strong>ard application may be obtained from the Lions’<br />
Web site at: http://www.lionsclubs.org/EN/content/pdfs/ye1401.pdf<br />
2. After the application is completed, contact your local Lions club for sponsorship<br />
<strong>and</strong> to obtain the required signatures, including the Lions club president <strong>and</strong><br />
district/state/national program officer signatures, where applicable.<br />
3. After signatures are obtained, forward the application to the <strong>camp</strong> director for<br />
review (this may be the district <strong>youth</strong> <strong>camp</strong> <strong>and</strong> <strong>exchange</strong> chairperson).<br />
4. Applicants selected to attend a <strong>camp</strong> will receive a confirmation letter <strong>and</strong><br />
information packet.<br />

1. Contact your local Lions club for sponsorship (use the Club Locator on<br />
www.lionsclubs.org or one of the district <strong>youth</strong> <strong>camp</strong> <strong>and</strong> <strong>exchange</strong> <strong>chairpersons</strong><br />
listed in this directory). Fill out an application. A sample application may be<br />
obtained from the Lions’ Web site at:<br />

2. Once sponsorship <strong>and</strong> signatures are obtained, the application is forwarded to<br />
potential host Lions <strong>and</strong> an <strong>exchange</strong> is confirmed.<br />

requirements may apply. Cost to participate in a <strong>camp</strong> <strong>and</strong>/or <strong>exchange</strong>, including travel<br />

Males <strong>and</strong> females; Ages 17-20 years; Camp is located 3 hours west of Melbourne by<br />
road. We have many physical activities, so <strong>camp</strong>ers must be fit <strong>and</strong> healthy. Activities<br />
include bush walking (hilly terrain), high <strong>and</strong> low ropes courses, visit to a wildlife park,<br />
visit to an Aboriginal Cultural center, Bush dance, indoor mini Olympics, concert, gold<br />
panning, table tennis, basketball <strong>and</strong> volleyball. Learn to throw a boomerang, see<br />
kangaroos <strong>and</strong> koalas! This is a team building <strong>camp</strong>. Bring musical instruments.<br />

Lions Clubs International, Multiple District 104 – Norway invites h<strong>and</strong>icapped persons<br />
with attendants to the 37 th International Youth Camp for physically h<strong>and</strong>icapped people<br />
at Gronolen Mountain Farm at Beitostolen. The stay in Norway is paid by the Lions<br />
Clubs of Norway, whereas the Sponsor clubs are responsible for travel costs, insurance<br />
<strong>and</strong> reasonable spending money.<br />

The objective of the <strong>camp</strong> is to help physically h<strong>and</strong>icapped people develop their own<br />
possibilities to a richer life, by help of a training program specially made for individual<br />
treatment, <strong>and</strong> by establishing relationships with <strong>youth</strong> from other countries. For the<br />
attendants, the main purpose is to develop their ability to assist the h<strong>and</strong>icapped by taking<br />
part in the daily activities <strong>and</strong> the management of the <strong>camp</strong> at Gronolen Mountain Farm.<br />
