A Work Positioning system<br />

means:<br />

plant or m<strong>at</strong>erial designed to arrest a fall. Examples<br />

include an industrial safety net, a c<strong>at</strong>ch pl<strong>at</strong><strong>for</strong>m,<br />

a safety harness system (other than a system th<strong>at</strong><br />

relies entirely on a restraint technique system)<br />

includes:<br />

– a secure fence, and<br />

– edge protection, and<br />

– working pl<strong>at</strong><strong>for</strong>ms, and<br />

– covers<br />

means:<br />

– a surface th<strong>at</strong> is structurally capable of supporting<br />

persons and things placed on it, and<br />

– barriers around its perimeter and any openings<br />

to prevent a fall, and<br />

– an even and readily negotiable surface and<br />

gradient, and<br />

– a safe means of entry and exit<br />

any plant or structure, other than a temporary work<br />
