February “For the Love of Food” Culinary Academy<br />

Food is one way to the heart, and <strong>Pelican</strong> <strong>Hill</strong> invites you to celebr<strong>at</strong>e your appreci<strong>at</strong>ion of<br />

everything epicurean with your loved ones this winter. In a luxurious Villa kitchen, the <strong>Resort</strong>’s<br />

chefs du cuisine lead hands-on prepar<strong>at</strong>ion courses with wine pairings every Thursday evening<br />

in February. $175* per person per class, including wine pairings. Limited to 14 guests per<br />

class. Reserv<strong>at</strong>ions are required and may be arranged by calling 800-820-6800.<br />

Thursday, February 6: Th<strong>at</strong>’s Amore<br />

Andrea Ristorante Chef Luigi Fineo adds a touch of Italian romance to cooking simple,<br />

delicious homemade pasta with veal picc<strong>at</strong>a, plus Italian wine pairings and handmade<br />

sweets for your special Valentine!<br />

Thursday, February 13: Dinner of the Senses<br />

<strong>Pelican</strong> <strong>Hill</strong> Executive Chef Jean-Pierre Dubray demonstr<strong>at</strong>es how to cre<strong>at</strong>e your own<br />

multi-course small pl<strong>at</strong>es experience for two to be intim<strong>at</strong>ely enjoyed with no utensils.<br />

Thursday, February 20: California Tasting Table<br />

<strong>Pelican</strong> Grill Chef Derek Brooks shares his secrets to smoking, seasoning and grilling<br />

winter me<strong>at</strong>s, to be savored with California wines among friends and family.<br />

Thursday, February 27: Family of Foodies<br />

Coliseum Pool & Grill Chef Marc Osier presents family-friendly recipes for food<br />

aficionados of all ages. Learn how to cre<strong>at</strong>e healthy epicurean cuisine th<strong>at</strong> brings the<br />

whole family together in the kitchen and around the table.<br />

Winter Olympics Dining Specials<br />

February 7-23<br />

<strong>Pelican</strong> Grill and Coliseum Pool & Grill bring the winter games from Sochi, Russia to you on<br />

nine-foot TV screens. At Coliseum Pool, cheer your team to victory on fl<strong>at</strong>-screen TVs in your<br />

own priv<strong>at</strong>e cabana. <strong>Resort</strong> chefs cre<strong>at</strong>e Olympic-inspired specials honoring the day’s televised<br />

sports, with dishes representing the cuisine of the countries competing.<br />

Fireside Etiquette Ch<strong>at</strong>s<br />

Thursdays, January 30, February 27 and March 27 from 5:30 – 7 p.m.<br />

Join us for casual, cozy convers<strong>at</strong>ions with K<strong>at</strong>hleen Cover, Founder and President of <strong>The</strong><br />

Etiquette School of Beverly <strong>Hill</strong>s and Newport Beach, certified by the prestigious American<br />

School of Protocol. Sip Prosecco, coffee or tea, during an interactive group Q&A, with etiquette<br />

tips and amusing stories by the grand fireplace in the <strong>Resort</strong>’s Gre<strong>at</strong> Room.<br />
