The built-in air filter not only kills bacteria but removes dust, pollen, mould & any airborne particles. The active<br />
carbon filter eliminates odours & deactivates harmful chemical gases in the air. It also traps common household<br />
air pollutants such as dust, smoke & perfume.<br />

The sleep /economy mode lowers or raises the room temperature setting by one degree. Set the 24-hour on/off<br />
timer to turn off the unit when you are not at home & turn on before you arrive.<br />
Air Conditioner User Tips<br />
Perform regular maintenance on your air conditioning unit. Replace the filter monthly during the cool season &<br />
have a professional service your system at the beginning of each cool season.<br />
Make sure your air conditioning condenser is located in a shaded spot & has room to dispose of hot air removed<br />
from your house. Don't crowd it with shrubs or other obstacles.<br />
Plant shades, trees & shrubs around your house to help reduce the heat of the sun, especially on the west & south<br />
sides. This can reduce your cooling costs by up to 30%.<br />
Set the fan speed on high except in very humid weather. When it's humid, set the fan speed on low. You'll<br />
get better cooling & slower air movement through the cooling equipment. This in turn permits the removal of<br />
moisture from the air, resulting in greater comfort.<br />
Help your air conditioner "breathe easier." Clean or replace the filter at least once a month this summer. A filter<br />
clogged with dust, pollen or soot "smothers" the air conditioner & wastes energy & your money. Let your monthly<br />
electric bill be your regular reminder to clean or change the filter.<br />
Remember that air conditioning systems that are ten years old or more are most likely not operating at peak<br />
efficiency. Installation of a high efficiency system can often cut your electric bills by 50% or more & will more than<br />
pay for itself over the next few years.<br />
