PALM SPRINGS, CA, - In the video promoting D.A.P.’s signature fundraising
gala, the 21st Annual Steve Chase Humanitarian Awards on Saturday,
February 7, guests are invited to
Imagine …
a world without HIV.
an AIDS-free generation.
helping to create it.
Gala sponsor Time-Warner will run the video 500 times in our local market
between December 22 and the evening of the gala. “We’re so grateful for this
significant push in helping promote our gala, which we hope will even exceed
last year’s more than $1.4 million in revenue raised for client services at Desert
AIDS Project,” said D.A.P. board chair Barbara Keller, who is serving as gala
co-chair for a seventh consecutive year. In her additional role as a community
champion for Get Tested Coachella Valley, she continued, “We are so committed
to helping bring about an AIDS-free generation that we’ve been out, all
over the community, with our #imagineNoAIDS message on Twitter and elsewhere
on social media, like the “digital wall” we’ve created for posting messages,
photos, and videos about what that world without AIDS might look like.”
Mrs. Keller’s gala co-chair for seven years has been Jim Casey, president
and CEO of Integrated Wealth Management, which has been Presenting
Sponsor of “the Steve Chase” for just as many years. “It’s an exciting
challenge to come up with a new show each year, that resonates with the
audience and engages their attention in a really meaningful way that connects
them to D.A.P.’s very important mission of care and prevention, working
toward a world without HIV,” said Casey. “This year, we are so excited to have
the incredible, combined talents of Scott Alan, whose songs have been sung
by the elite of Broadway, who will be working with “So You Think You Can
Dance” choreographer Ray Leeper. They will be under the creative direction
of Live It Up Productions president Trini Garza and his co-creative director
Brandon Alameda who have teamed up to write a very touching story that
will weave through the evening of the gala, using song and dance to interpret
one couple’s story of what it means to live with HIV.”
February 7th will be here before you know it … reserve your tickets or tables
