This product is c<strong>on</strong>traindicated for use <strong>on</strong> animals that are severely stressed or in ill health. This<br />

product should not be used <strong>on</strong> horses’ heads forward of the ears. DO NOT APPLY as a single spot.<br />

In a proporti<strong>on</strong> of treated animals, some scurfiness may develop at the site of applicati<strong>on</strong>.<br />

In most cases this scurfiness will disappear within three weeks of applicati<strong>on</strong> of this product.<br />

Using the correct measured<br />

dose, apply to horses as<br />

two single stripes. Apply<br />

approximately 2/3 of measured<br />

dose to the midline mane<br />

area (from poll to wither) and<br />

remaining 1/3 to midline over<br />

the rump.<br />

When applying product keep<br />

away from head forward of the<br />

ears. If product is accidentally<br />

splashed into horse’s eyes,<br />

the eyes should be washed<br />

thoroughly as so<strong>on</strong> as possible,<br />

using plenty of water. C<strong>on</strong>tact<br />

a veterinary surge<strong>on</strong> for advice.<br />

Apply to the whole herd –<br />

retreatment may be necessary.<br />

Cattle: Apply with recommended applicator. The efficacy of this product was not affected by<br />

moderate rainfall when tested against cattle lice.<br />

Horses: Treatment with SWISH will alleviate fly annoyance related behaviour including skin<br />

flicking, head and tail twitching and feet stamping for up to 7 days. No adverse reacti<strong>on</strong>s were<br />

reported in horses treated with deltamethrin at 5 times the recommended dose rate.<br />

It is recommended that the product be allowed to dry thoroughly after applicati<strong>on</strong> before handling<br />

the animal. However, if handling or grooming the animal immediately after applicati<strong>on</strong> is necessary<br />

wear pers<strong>on</strong>al protective equipment as indicated in the safety directi<strong>on</strong>s <strong>on</strong> this label.<br />

WITHHOLDING PERIODS:<br />

Cattle: MEAT NIL; MILK NIL<br />

Horses: NOT TO BE USED <strong>on</strong> horses that may be<br />

slaughtered for human c<strong>on</strong>sumpti<strong>on</strong>.<br />

TRADE ADVICE<br />

Export Slaughter Interval (ESI): DO NOT USE less than 21 days before<br />

slaughter for export. The ESI <strong>on</strong> this label was correct at the time<br />

of label approval. Before using this product, c<strong>on</strong>firm the current<br />

ESI from the manufacturer <strong>on</strong> 1300 255 347 or the APVMA website<br />

(www.apvma.gov.au/residues/ESI.shtml).<br />

PROTECTION OF WILDLIFE, FISH, CRUSTACEANS AND<br />

THE ENVIRONMENT<br />

DANGEROUS TO FISH. Do not c<strong>on</strong>taminate dams, rivers or streams with the<br />

pesticide or used c<strong>on</strong>tainers.<br />

AVOID CONTACT WITH FOOD.<br />

SAFETY DIRECTIONS<br />

Product is pois<strong>on</strong>ous if swallowed. May irritate the eyes and skin. Facial skin c<strong>on</strong>tact<br />

may cause temporary facial numbness. Avoid c<strong>on</strong>tact with eyes and skin. When<br />

using the product wear elbow length PVC gloves. If product <strong>on</strong> skin, immediately<br />

wash area with soap and water. After use and before eating, drinking, or smoking,<br />

wash hands, arms and face thoroughly with soap and water. After each day’s use<br />

wash gloves.<br />

Additi<strong>on</strong>al Safety Informati<strong>on</strong>: Facial skin c<strong>on</strong>tact may cause temporary<br />

tingling/burning. To avoid operator insecticide c<strong>on</strong>tact when c<strong>on</strong>current treatments<br />

are carried out, SWISH should be applied last. Operators must wear gloves.<br />

FIRST AID<br />

If pois<strong>on</strong>ing occurs c<strong>on</strong>tact a doctor or Pois<strong>on</strong>s Informati<strong>on</strong> Centre. Ph<strong>on</strong>e Australia<br />

131126. Additi<strong>on</strong>al informati<strong>on</strong> is available in the Material Safety Data Sheet.<br />

DISPOSAL<br />

Triple or (preferably) pressure rinse c<strong>on</strong>tainer. DO NOT dispose<br />

of undiluted chemicals <strong>on</strong> site. Break, crush or puncture and<br />

bury empty c<strong>on</strong>tainers in a local authority landfill. If no landfill<br />

is available, bury the c<strong>on</strong>tainers below 500 mm in a disposal<br />

pit specifically marked and set up for this purpose clear of<br />

waterways, vegetati<strong>on</strong> and tree roots. Empty c<strong>on</strong>tainers and<br />

product should not be burnt.<br />

STORE below 30˚C (Room Temperature) in original c<strong>on</strong>tainer, tightly closed in<br />

a safe place.<br />
