Sources of Philanthropic Support
DEAR FRIENDS,
UCSF School of Nursing is strategically positioned to continue its leadership
in preparing a cadre of professionals to address the immediate need for
advanced practice nurses, nursing faculty, and health policy leaders. With
health reform and the aging out of the clinical and nurse faculty workforce,
the time to cultivate new and replacement faculty is now. We do not want to
find a gap in health care or education by waiting to respond. It is our goal to
recruit, retain, educate, and place in the community health specialists of the
highest caliber, trained in the most recent advances. Your support can assure
continuity and excellence in nursing and will help us provide aid for promising
students, recruit and retain a talented teaching staff, conduct important
research, and seize opportunities to develop new programs.
Your philanthropy helps us to achieve our goals in the midst of this shifting
landscape. Last year you supported worthy students with scholarships,
helped us enhance our interdisciplinary education, and contributed to rewards
for deserving faculty and staff. With our world-renowned status and your help,
the UCSF School of Nursing has the opportunity to transform the nation’s
