Registration<br />

We encourage you to register as soon as possible to help us be better prepared and plan ahead for<br />

your accommodation / transportation etc. The closing date for registrations is 15 February 2011.<br />

Transportation<br />

Please request and complete the Transportation Request Form, if you require transportation to/ from the<br />

Retreat and to/ from the railway station (Frankston), airport (Melbourne). Please indicate in the space<br />

provided in the Registration Form, if you are willing to volunteering transportation service to the members<br />

coming to the retreat.<br />

Check-in<br />

Check-in at the Camp begins on Saturday 12th March at 9:00 am and continues until 11:00 am. Please do<br />

not arrive before 9:00 am on Saturday unless you are a volunteer requested to come in early by your<br />

coordinator who will notify you of the time of your arrival.<br />

Accommodations<br />

Dormitories are of varying sizes with bunk beds. Please be advised that you will be sharing rooms with<br />

several others. Please bring your own bath towels. Bathrooms and showers are in adjacent but separate<br />

common bathhouse.<br />

Clothing<br />

Average temperatures range from a low of 12 degrees Centigrade at night 24 degrees during the day.<br />

Bring warm clothing for cool and foggy nights and early mornings. Modest clothing at all times – no shorts<br />

etc., please, and dress must be suitable for <strong>Sai</strong> function. Please let us endeavour to provide the Prashanthi<br />

atmosphere.<br />

What to Bring<br />

Bedding and linen is supplied but towels are not provided (please bring one bed sheet; pillowcase if you<br />

do not wish to use the ones provided at the retreat), Linen exchange has to be done by you and put used<br />

linen in the laundry before you leave. Also include toilet articles (Bath towel, soap/shampoo, tooth brush,<br />

shaving kit, small mirror), bathing suits, torch light, alarm clock, panadol /medications if applicable, rubber<br />

shower shoes, towels, mosquito repellent, closed shoes for sports activities, loose cloth for yoga, seat<br />

cushions to sit etc in your list.<br />

Children at the Retreat<br />

While we intend to have activities for the children of Group B, C and D (Age range 6-17) and they will be<br />

under a volunteers’ guidance, please make sure your child is comfortably clothed.<br />

Please attend to your child’s feeding when ever applicable.<br />

Please advise the volunteer of any extra information regarding your child that may assist the volunteer in<br />

handling any known situation that may arise.<br />

Please do not leave the children with any expensive toys or items.<br />

Belongings at the Retreat<br />

Please take responsibility of your belongings while at the retreat and before you leave the retreat.<br />

Parking<br />

Parking is permitted only in designated areas.<br />

Retreat Rules<br />

• Common sense prevails.<br />

• Please leave all rooms and campgrounds clean; no littering<br />

• No bed linen, pillows and doonas are to be taken out of the rooms.<br />

• No candles are permitted on the property.<br />

• Guests found playing with fire extinguishers and fire hose will be expelled from the Resort.<br />

• Male / female segregation will be maintained during the camp.<br />

• Chewing gum, Smoking and alcohol not allowed at the Retreat<br />

• Please switch off (put on silent mode) your mobiles during the Retreat.<br />

• Please consult a volunteer in case you need any assistance at the Retreat.<br />

Out of bounds areas<br />

• Accommodation area not assigned to <strong>Sai</strong> group.<br />

Voluntary Service Opportunities<br />

Numerous service opportunities are available. You may volunteer to help in the following areas:<br />

• Registration<br />

• Transportation of members from Airport / Railway Station to retreat site and back<br />

• General: Parking, guiding to venues, placards and other general help etc<br />

• SSE children programs (SSE teachers or young adults with WWC permit only)<br />

• Kitchen work - assisting in cooking<br />

• Dining Hall - serving / laying the table / cleaning table and cutleries
