Shortform Rules Of The Game For Players: Statewide Linked Jackpot Game
These Shortform Rules are a summary for Players of the Rules of the Maximillions linked jackpot game (Linked
Jackpot Game) operated using the Linked Jackpot System. The Linked Jackpot Game is governed by, and operated in accordance with, the
Rules. A copy of the Rules can be obtained on request from a registered club which has Specially Approved Gaming Machines participating
in the Linked Jackpot Game (Venue).
These Shortform Rules are a summary only and do not contain a complete or exhaustive statement of the Rules. The Rules prevail over these
Shortform Rules to the extent of any inconsistency. Players should inform themselves of the Rules and should not rely on the summary in
these Shortform Rules. None of Tab Limited (ABN 17 081 7653 08), the Minister or Venues take any responsibility if a Player relies on
these Shortform Rules rather than the Rules. By playing a Specially Approved Gaming Machines which is participating in the Linked
Jackpot Game (Participating SAGM), a Player agrees to be bound by the Rules.
The Linked Jackpot Game involves play of a Jackpot Feature that is triggered randomly during play of a base game on a Participating SAGM
and which enters a Player into a second screen feature in which a jackpot prize is determined. The jackpot prize may be:
• one of 2 jackpot levels (Maxi or Major) in the Linked Jackpot Game (Jackpot Levels); or
• one of 2 jackpot levels (Minor or Mini) on the intra venue jackpot game operated by the Venue as part of the Jackpot Feature (Intra
Venue Jackpot).
A Player must be a member including a full, provisional, honorary or temporary member of that Venue, and a guest of a member (Member)
of the Venue in which the Participating SAGM is located.Any person who is under the age of 18 years or who is not a Member is ineligible
to participate in the Linked Jackpot Game and will not be paid jackpot prizes by maxgaming in the Linked Jackpot Game or the Venue in the
Intra Venue Jackpot.
To play the Linked Jackpot Game on a Participating SAGM, a Player must insert money into the Participating SAGM. The minimum bet to
participate in the Linked Jackpot Game is one credit bet on one line.
The amount payable as a Jackpot for each Jackpot Level in the Linked Jackpot Game increases by amounts calculated using the method
specified in the Table below. The startup Jackpot Value for each level operating at each venue is displayed in signage near the participating
SAGM’s. In addition the amount payable as a Jackpot for each of the two levels of jackpot in the Intra Venue Jackpot increases by amounts
calculated using the method specified in the Table below.
Payment of jackpot prize
* Figures based on manufacturer's forecast.
Payments for Maxi and Major Jackpot Levels will be made in accordance with the Rules and will be paid by maxgaming only if it has
received from a Player a completed and signed Statewide Link Prize Payment Form (available from the Venue) and maxgaming’s
verification procedures have been properly completed. Payments for Minor and Mini Intra Venue Jackpot Levels are the responsibility of the
Venue, not maxgaming, and subject to the Rules and any relevant terms and conditions will be electronically paid directly to the winning
Participating SAGM’s credit meter.
In the case of a discrepancy of Jackpot Values between signage displays, or a display and Central Operations whether or not occurring as a
result of a sign malfunction, the amount recorded by Central Operations will be the correct Jackpot Value.
Unclaimed Jackpot Prizes
A Venue may cancel cheques for any Jackpot Levels or Intra Venue Jackpot that is not presented for payment within 12 months of the date
of the relevant win which cheque will thus lapse and on cancellation the Player and anyone claiming under or through the Player, loses all
entitlements to that prize. Neither maxgaming nor the Venue will then be under any further obligation to pay the amount of the prize.
Instead in the case of a Jackpot Level, the Venue on cancellation of the original Venue cheque must refund the amount of the prize to
maxgaming, and on receipt of that refund maxgaming must make the amount of the Jackpot available for payment of jackpots in games
conducted as part of the Linked Jackpot System (which may include the Linked Jackpot Game) or as otherwise approved by the Minister.
Dispute Resolution
Any dispute in relation to the Linked Jackpot Game must be brought to the attention of the Venue’s Authorised Representative. The Venue’s
Authorised Representative may then bring it to the attention of maxgaming at Central Operations. Nothing said, written or done by a Venue
or its Authorised Representative constitutes an admission by, or is binding on, maxgaming.
A Venue is not disentitled from its rights under the Act, the Rules or any relevant terms and conditions, by anything said, written or done by
the Venue.
Limitation of Liability
maxgaming and the Venue are neither partners nor joint venturers, and neither has or accepts any liability on behalf of the other. maxgaming,
and not the Venue, is responsible and liable for the payment of Maxi and Major Jackpot Levels won in accordance with the Rules and the
Act. The Venue, and not maxgaming is responsible and liable for the payment (subject to the Act, the Rules and any relevant terms and
conditions) of Intra Venue Jackpots and prizes in the Base Game, including payment of prizes, which result from the operation of the Base
Game and the Intra Venue Jackpot. Except for the Linked Jackpot Game, maxgaming not liable for, or bound to the Venue or any Player in
respect of, any other game or function of a Participating SAGM.
Capitalised terms, used but not defined in these Shortform Rules have the meaning given to those terms in the full copy of the Rules.
