Langley Room
Cooper Room
Our unit of inquiry for this term is Paddock to Plate.
The children have started their investigations with eagerness
as they all share their knowledge and understanding about
farming and produce and how it reaches our plates.
Discussions have begun at meal times, identifying and
examining individual ingredients in our meals and talking
about where they have come from. It turns out that the
children already know so much about this topic.
The children have loved preparing a space in our room for a
shop. They have been sorting out boxes and containers
ready to place them on the shelves. Bring your shopping list
along and do your shopping when you visit the Cooper
Room Supermarket!
Chapple Room
The children have had a great start to the term as they too
have been exploring where their food comes from. Each day
they discuss what they have eaten for lunch, what
ingredients were used and where those foods originated,
especially after eating chicken casserole, shepherd's pie
and tacos.
Edgerley Room
The children love playing in the Edgerley Pizza Parlour!
Don’t forget to stop by for the best cheesy crust in town! The
meatballs and spaghetti are the chef’s special, but please
make sure you book beforehand – we are getting really
popular and we would not like to disappoint.
Mead Room
The children are also discussing the food that they eat at the
ELC and have been thinking about what different foods
there are and where they come from.
The children are very excited to be making their own Mead
Room bakery!
