It is critical to restrain cargo within military aircraft because a moving load can put both the<br />
crew and the aircraft at risk. This is especially true when aircraft are flying into areas of conflict<br />
or when landing conditions are adverse. As the leading designer and manufacturer of cargo<br />
handling products (nets and tie-down products), <strong>AmSafe</strong> ® recognizes these challenges and<br />
provides solutions for many of the world’s armed forces, charter aircraft companies, aircraft<br />
operators, and aid agencies.<br />
Braided Nets<br />
The knotless intersection design of <strong>AmSafe</strong> nets, combined with a proprietary anti-abrasive<br />
process, reduces snagging and enables faster build-up times for loads. Single-piece braided<br />
nets allow you to manage a smaller inventory than if you used multiple-part nets, and they are<br />
available in several sizes. Many of these nets are compatible with the NATO standard 463L<br />
pallet system and a large number of aircraft floor fixings. In addition, you can tailor braid nets to<br />
individual needs by adding integral straps or fast load-build/breakdown QuickZip ® loops.<br />
Webbing Nets<br />
Webbing nets offer an interoperable alternative to the single-piece braided net. The <strong>AmSafe</strong><br />
system is comprised of three nets per set: a top net and two side nets that are attached to<br />
secure the load by means of integral hooks and tensioner devices. This system can restrain<br />
various differing load shapes up to a maximum weight of 10,000lb (4,536kg).
