The Tourism Quality Cluster<br />
acts as a trademark of quality<br />
performance which encompasses the<br />
implementation of various st<strong>and</strong>ards<br />
for our tourism stakeholders <strong>and</strong> their<br />
organizations.<br />
The Tourism Quality Cluster is operated <strong>and</strong><br />
managed by the Product Development Department of<br />
the Tourism Development Company Limited (TDC)<br />
which is responsible for the following tourism quality<br />
assurance programmes:<br />
• <strong>Trinidad</strong> <strong>and</strong> <strong>Tobago</strong> Tourism Industry Certification<br />
(TTTIC) – the region’s leading tourism certification<br />
system<br />
• Small Tourism Enterprises Project (STEP) –<br />
provides small tourism entrepreneurs with critical<br />
business enhancement <strong>and</strong> specialist skills<br />
• Service. Training. Attitude. Respect (STAR) -<br />
benchmarked as the Caribbean’s foremost customer<br />
service delivery solution<br />
• EarthCheck - an internationally recognized<br />
environmental management <strong>and</strong> certification<br />
programme for tourism operators<br />
• Blue Flag - an environmental certification for<br />
beaches ensuring environmental management,<br />
education <strong>and</strong> safety<br />
• Visitor Relations Management System (VRMS)<br />
- a system to capture, analyze <strong>and</strong> address visitor<br />
feedback<br />
• Health, Safety <strong>and</strong> Environment (HSE) – initiatives<br />
to ensure that tourism operators <strong>and</strong> local sites <strong>and</strong><br />
attractions are in compliance with health <strong>and</strong> safety<br />
requirements for both visitors <strong>and</strong> staff<br />
