6. Reach 51,854 Child protection During the year 2010, a total of 241,300 children were directly reached through SCF interventions. The number of adult beneficiaries amounted to 108,744. Financial summary 125,800 Child protection WASH Education 25 % 70 % Eastern Africa West Africa South Asia 63,646 Total expenditures of SCF International Programmes amounted to 17.09 million euros in 2008-2010. Of this, 10.6 million euros were received from the MFA. The self-financing share was covered by funds raised from private donors, corporations and foundations. 5 % Major sources of income were monthly donors, sponsors and other regular donor’s donations. At the end of 2010 25 there % were over 8,000 monthly donors and approximately 2,000 sponsors supported on a regular ba- West Africa sis the international operations of SCF. Important South Asia fundraising campaigns included the annual “A Day’s Work” 70 % (Päivätyökeräys) in Finnish schools and the “Red Nose Eastern Africa Day” of the Ylen Hyvä Foundation and Finnish Broadcasting Company YLE.
