Ltd., Surat Cost of Contract: Rs. 3971.00 lakh Date of Award: 03.02.2007 Time of completion: 21 months Works includes: Construction of 363 MLD WTP along with connected works Work Plan, General Layout Plan & Process Design submitted by the contractor firm have been approved by the PIU/DSC. Excavation work of clarifloculors has almost been completed. Construction of office building is under progress. Package no. IND/WS/16 Construction of Overhead Storage Reservoirs Name of Contractor: M/s Gondwana Engineers Pvt. Ltd., Nagpur Cost of Contract: Rs. 891.00 lakh Date of Award: 13.11.06 Time of completion: 15 months Works includes: 7 Overhead reservoirs each of 3000 KL capacity at the following locations in the city, Staging: Sl. no. 1 to 5 - 20 meters Sl. no. 6 - 15 meters Sl. no. 7 - 10 meters 1. Sangam Nagar: Staging completed, Beam’s work of bottom slab under progress; 2. MIG Colony: Construction up to 18m height of columns above ground level has been completed; 3. Zinsi Hat Maidan: Foundation work in progress; columns up to ground level bracing completed. 4. Dravid Nagar: Foundation work completed along with ground level bracing. 5. Urdu School: Foundation work in progress. Columns up to ground level bracing completed. 6. M.Y. Hospital: Foundation work in progress. Columns up to ground level bracing completed. 7. PROJECT UDAY (Urban Water Supply and Environmental Improvement in Madhya Pradesh) Quarterly Progress Report (QR-07) June 2007 Urban Administration & Development Department (UADD) 5.2 Wastewater and Sanitation Refer to Table 5.2 for the city-wise progress of the wastewater component of the project. The total investment for this component amounts to Rs. 13,608.84 lakhs and comprises 11 contract packages. The overall investment of this component, according to current status of cost estimates, is 36% below the PAM allocated amount. Progress to date includes the completion of all concept reports design reports and bid documents have been submitted. Invitation for bids have been given for 10 contract packages for an investment of Rs.13,004.20 lakh, equating to 96% of the overall wastewater and sanitation programme. Award of 3 procurement contracts and one civil works contract (BPL/WW/04 for the installation of the treated effluent pipeline from Maholi to Dhamkheda) have been issued to date. Delivery of the below listed equipment has since been completed under packages PMU/WW/01, for Bhopal, Gwalior and Indore under central procurement through the PMU for vacuum and jetting cleaning equipment, for an investment of Rs.202.70 lakhs which is 1% of the overall wastewater and sanitation programme investment. The distribution of the equipment to the project cities has been completed as follows: • sewer suction cum jetting machines (8,500 litre) Bhp, 2 No.; Gwl, 1 No.; Ind, 3 No.; • suction Machine (4,500 litre) Gwl, 1 No.; • sewer suction cum jetting machines (3,000 litre) Bhp, 4 No.; and • Jetting machines (2,000 litre) Gwl, 1 No. In ensuring the required connectivity, it is essential to incorporate provisions for house connections, inclusive of sewer and sullage discharge, for which appropriate contracts are revised. 5.2.1 Bhopal Wastewater The overall cost estimate of the 5 wastewater contract packages for Bhopal amounts to Rs. 6,001.31 lakh, inclusive of the sanitation programme, which is above the PAM allocated amount by 47%. All proposals for inclusion of sanitation schemes have been deferred to the JN-NURM programme. On site sanitation will be taken up under the AIF component of the programme, as part of an integrated development approach inclusive of water supply initiatives. To date, all concept reports, design reports and bid documents have been completed; and invitation to bids issued. Award of contract has been issued for the central procurement package, PMU/WW/01, for an investment of Rs.98.56 lakhs, and the civil works package BPL/WW/04 for the construction of the treated effluent pipeline from Maholi to Dhamkheda for an investment of Rs.245.40 lakhs, which totals 6% of the overall wastewater and sanitation programme investment. The procurement package, PMU/WW/01/BPL, has been completed with the delivery of equipment of 2 nos. vacuum and jetting cleaning equipment of various capacities, to the Municipal Corporation for an investment of Rs.98.56 lakhs, which totals 1% of the overall wastewater and sanitation programme investment. Land issues remain pending for 3 clearances, which have yet to be finalized for contract package BPL/WW/05 for the sewage pumping stations, and continue to be unresolved, refer to Appendix–B.
