The Puppet Of Lao Jiu<br />
KATE LEONG KIN TENG<br />
Graduating respectively from the youth theatre and acting<br />
programmes at Theatre School, Macao Conservatory, Leong<br />
stayed on as a drama teacher and a principal actress in Macao<br />
Youth Repertory Theatre. Throughout her performing career, she<br />
has taken on the lead role in many of its productions. Her recent<br />
performances include works such as Dead Man’s Cell Phone, I<br />
Hate Hamlet, Alarms and Excursions, and The Legend of Lyra.<br />
She currently teaches in the Conservatory’s theatre programmes<br />
for children and youth.<br />
VONG SENG PAN<br />
One of Macao’s upcoming Cantonese opera actors, Vong<br />
Seng Pan started learning Cantonese opera at age 10 in the<br />
União Geral das Associações dos Moradores de Macau Youth<br />
Cantonese opera training class. He has performed in many epic<br />
dramas and opera excerpts, and has taken on the lead roles<br />
in Double Spear Wielder Lu Wen Long and Outwitting Zhou Yu<br />
Three Times at the Macau Arts Festival respectively in 2010 and<br />
2012. His performance in Double Spear Wielder Lu Wen Long<br />
in Guangzhou drew praise from legendary Cantonese opera<br />
artist Hong Xian Nu.
