COMMUNITY SERVICES<br />
The goal <strong>of</strong> the community transport<br />
program is to provide transport for the<br />
residents in the Balmoral area within the<br />
constraints <strong>of</strong> available funding<br />
1- 12 seater bus<br />
1- 10 seater bus with ramp & 2<br />
wheelchair access<br />
1- Respite car<br />
Demand for service continues:<br />
Community transport<br />
Fortnightly trips to Hamilton or<br />
Horsham. 26 trips, 100 people using the<br />
service.<br />
The bus has been hired to the wider<br />
community on 20 different occasions,<br />
including the local community, school,<br />
local businesses, football, netball and<br />
angling clubs.<br />
The Planned Activity Group used the<br />
buses for a total <strong>of</strong> 32 trips.<br />

VET “Getting Them<br />
There” Project<br />
A demand for youth transport in our<br />
area was identified, working with the<br />
Balmoral Community College to<br />
transport students to regular classes in<br />
Horsham for their VET Courses. This year<br />
we have had ten students regularly<br />
travelling to Horsham each Wednesday<br />
to attend classes. Funding from <strong>South</strong><br />
<strong>West</strong> Transport Connections has made it<br />
possible to continue this much needed<br />
service.<br />
