STEWARDSHIP REFLECTIONS<br />
Before his ascension, Christ gave the Apostles their mission: “Go into the world and<br />
proclaim the good news to the whole creation”. All <strong>of</strong> us are called to the same mission.<br />
Sharing the gift <strong>of</strong> faith is central to the Christian life—it is a type <strong>of</strong> good stewardship called<br />
evangelization’. “Faith is strengthened when it is given to others”, Pope John Paul ll. We<br />
have been given new life in Christ. Is that not something you want to share with others‘<br />

vulnerable in our society make your blood boil Do you have the desire to reach out and<br />
help The Parish Pastoral Council <strong>of</strong> <strong>St</strong>. <strong>Martin</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Tours</strong> is looking for an individual to<br />
coordinate the efforts <strong>of</strong> the many in our parish who are equally appalled and currently<br />
working at helping the disadvantaged. If you are passionate about Social Justice issues and<br />
have the desire to assist our parish in establishing an active and coordinated response to the<br />

Parish Annual General Meeting<br />
The Annual General meeting for the Parish will be held Sunday May 27, 2012<br />
after 11:15 am Mass. Lunch and childcare will be provided. We encourage your attendance<br />
at the meeting to receive not only the 2011 Financial Report, but a summary <strong>of</strong> all the<br />
happenings in our Parish in the past year. This is an opportunity for you to voice any<br />
concerns, questions or to <strong>of</strong>fer encouragement to Father Nilo and the current council.<br />

Art & Environment<br />
Anyone wishing to bring live flowers in the month <strong>of</strong> May to place on the altar <strong>of</strong><br />
Our Blessed Mother may do so. Linda, our Art and Environment coordinator, will take care <strong>of</strong><br />
the arrangements.<br />
Youth Group<br />
Attention Youth: For the months <strong>of</strong> May and June, <strong>St</strong>. <strong>Martin</strong>’s Youth Ministry will be<br />
making exam packages available to ANY students in grade 7-12. This includes home school<br />
and public school students. Please pick your exam packs up at the back <strong>of</strong> the Church.<br />
There is one per person. As well, we will have a sign up sheet on <strong>St</strong>. Anne’s Room available<br />
for those students who wish for prayer. We invite any members <strong>of</strong> our parish to write their<br />
name next to that <strong>of</strong> a student and spiritually adopt them for exam time and the following<br />

RCIA<br />
We are now in the process <strong>of</strong> accepting requests to take part in next fall’s Rite <strong>of</strong><br />
Christian Initiation <strong>of</strong> Adults program. If you or someone you know is discerning or not if<br />
they are interested in joining the <strong>Catholic</strong> Church please contact the Parish <strong>of</strong>fice at 780-632-<br />
3272 to register. The RCIA team would like to start the program as early as possible.<br />
