Sacrament of Marriage<br />

Arrangement must be made 6 months in advance. No<br />

date for a wedding can be given over the phone or reserved<br />

until the couple completes the formal paperwork<br />

with a member of the pastoral staff.<br />

R.C.I.A. is for those who are interested in coming<br />

into the Catholic Church or a Catholic interested in completing<br />

the Sacraments of Initiation. Call the Faith Formation<br />

office for more information.<br />

Sacrament of Reconciliation<br />

Confessions are available Saturday at 4:00pm in the<br />

Church or by appointment.<br />

Sacrament of Baptism<br />

Baptisms are celebrated on the 2nd and 3rd Sunday<br />

of the month at 1:00pm in the Church. Baptismal<br />

preparation is required prior to the baptism of any<br />

child.<br />

Homebound When you or someone you love are<br />

not able to make it to mass for an extended period<br />

of time, we would like to help you stay connected<br />

with our parish life, by bringing Communion to<br />

you or your loved one, in your home. Please call the<br />

rectory to make arrangements<br />

Ministry of Consolation is a ministry that<br />

assists Families in planning the funeral liturgies<br />

for their loved ones. For information about joining<br />

this Ministry please call the rectory.<br />

Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament<br />

Every Thursday following the 8:00am Mass until<br />

midnight in the Chapel. Chaplet of Divine Mercy<br />

at 3:00pm. Right to Life Rosary at 7:00pm. Special<br />

Holy Hour and Benediction from 11:00pm to<br />

Midnight.<br />

New Parishioners are invited to come to the Rectory and pick up a registration form. Envelopes are available upon request.

Housing, Inwood, is for frail elderly 65 or older, is on the<br />

is rental apartments for independent seniors, 60 or<br />

older. Thea Bowman Residence, Amityville, is for independent<br />

A Bereavement Group for adults who have had a<br />

significant loss will be held in the Our Lady of Mount<br />

Carmel Parish Center. The group runs for<br />

8 weeks, meets Thursdays ( subject to change) from<br />

3:00PM-4:<strong>30</strong>PM and is and is free of charge. It offers<br />

support during this painful time of trying to cope with<br />

Professional therapy, provided by New York State<br />

licensed therapists, is available to our parish and 149<br />

other parishes. This program, under the direction of Dr.<br />

Ge<strong>org</strong>e Giuliani, has been conducted in the diocese for<br />

the past 39 years for the convenience of parishioners.<br />

Services are provided by the Catholic Counseling Center,<br />

a proprietary professional corporation, which is independent<br />

of and not controlled or supervised by the parish<br />

or diocese. Most insurance policies, including Medicare,<br />
