Communicate+Cultivate+Collaborate=The Leadership Performance Equation<br />

Jacqueline (Jackie) Mueckenheim is the Lead Training and Development Consultant of North Coast<br />

IT Group’s Organizational Development Division. Jackie has over 22 years experience in developing,<br />

designing, and facilitating workshops and seminars, executive retreats, and strategic planning<br />

initiatives for corporate, nonprofit, and academic groups. Her industry experience includes banking,<br />

finance, and accounting, manufacturing, healthcare, education, lodging and hospitality, technology,<br />

and professional services.<br />

Having developed an extensive background in professional communications, business writing,<br />

technical communication and documentation, leadership and management development, customer<br />

service, talent management, and teambuilding, Jackie partners with clients to improve overall<br />

organizational performance by helping their staff members – executive teams,<br />

managers/supervisors, and individual contributors alike – to build and strengthen core<br />

communication, leadership, and interpersonal relationship skills.<br />

Jackie spent over 17 years with The Thomson Corporation as a Senior Editor, Project- and Product<br />

Manager, as part of Thomson Learning’s Business Reference Division (Gale). Her training<br />

background includes a corporate trainer role while part of the Thomson team, an adjunct instructor in technical writing at Case<br />

Western Reserve University, and she currently designs and facilitates open enrollment professional development workshops for<br />

Cleveland State University’s Monte Ahuja College of Business.<br />

Jackie is a certified DiSC facilitator, as well as a board-certified instructor with the Ohio Board of Nursing and for the Counselor,<br />

Social Worker, and Marriage and Family Therapist Board of the State of Ohio. She has completed the ESL Certification Workshop<br />

through Case Western Reserve University, the Employee Engagement and Retention program through Career Systems International,<br />

and the Business Continuity/Contingency Planning certificate program through Cleveland State University.<br />

Jackie earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Wayne State University, and a Master of Arts degree in English (focus on<br />

rhetoric, composition, and writing) from Case Western Reserve University.<br />

This program teaches participants how to develop your leadership potential.<br />

Human-centered workplace communication practices, leadership cultivation, and collaborative practices translate into successful<br />

leaders and ultimately organizational performance. In this dynamic and meaningful session, participants will understand that leading<br />

requires connection!<br />

Participants will explore mythology archetypes that permeate our anthropology and discuss common threads between them. The<br />

presentation will examine “The Hero's Journey”, a basic pattern found in many narratives from around the world and learn how these<br />

concepts are linked to our psychological roots.<br />

Effective Meetings with Chris Powers, ERC<br />

This presentation will teach you how to plan and conduct meetings to maximize participation and achieve desired outcomes. You<br />

will discover the different types of meetings, how they impact what you do, and how to develop an action plan for using effective<br />

meeting practices. This highly engaging workshop will show you how to understand the differences between task and process issues<br />

in groups and give you the ability to build confidence in the use of effective meeting leadership practices.<br />

Recognizing Excellence—Deltasig Awards & Scholarships with Jeanne Gregory<br />

Participants will:<br />

Learn about the online awards process and the various awards available from Delta Sigma Pi<br />

Learn about the application requirements and criteria for each award with the online system<br />

Learn helpful tips and winning traits from other award-winning applications<br />

Every collegiate and alumni chapter in Delta Sigma Pi should be applying for the various awards offered by the Fraternity, but<br />

surprisingly, very few chapters ever apply. This session will provide details about the submission process, the awards options<br />

available, how to apply, how to present an award-winning application and other helpful tips.<br />

Recruitment Boot Camp with Janene Winton<br />

Participants will:<br />

Analyze key barriers to recruitment<br />

Work in teams to strategize methods of enhancing recruitment practices<br />

Be encouraged to spark thought and leave with at least five new ideas

Strengthening Member Loyalty with Dale Clark<br />

Collegiate Participants will:<br />

Learn how to engage more participation from chapter members<br />

Identify factors that affect one’s loyalty to the organization<br />

Embrace the recruiting and pledging process as the introduction to building loyal collegiate and alumni memberships<br />

Learn how to influence other members so they may gain the same passion for the Fraternity that you have<br />

Alumni Participants will:<br />

Learn tips to recruit and build stronger participation from alumni members<br />

Identify factors that affect one’s loyalty to the organization<br />

Learn how to better counsel chapters for which they are the District Director, Advisor, or Regional/<strong>Provincial</strong> Committee liaison<br />

Be reassured that age old concerns are still present with today’s collegiate members, even with some modern twists<br />

Conflict—The Inevitable Enemy with Chris Powers, ERC<br />

Few things cause as much stress as resolving conflict between individuals we work with and share space with. Even with the best<br />

intentions, you may have different opinions and varying viewpoints from others. This session provides you the tools for conflict<br />

resolution where everyone can be a winner!<br />

In this meaningful, interactive, and energetic workshop, participants will develop a greater understanding of what it means to<br />

interact with respect, to value diversity in order to build better workplace relationships (with colleagues and customers), and to<br />

harness the power of understanding the different generations active in our work- and marketplaces today.<br />

If you answered “yes” to any of these questions, this workshop is for you!<br />

Assertiveness may not come naturally to you – you may find yourself either passive or way too aggressive. However, learning to be<br />

more assertive is an invaluable communication, relationship, and leadership tool that anyone can work on developing.<br />

Identify assertive, passive, and aggressive behaviors<br />

Balance an increased level of assertiveness with successful teamwork<br />

In this workshop, Individuals will learn how to improve their opportunities for successful relationships by getting along with others.<br />

This workshop concentrates on how to become more effective in dealing with difficult people, both internal and external to the<br />

organization. Attendees will gain an appreciation for necessary and unnecessary conflict and constructive strategies for resolving<br />

issues and developing positive relationships.<br />

The workshop introduces the concept of how to communicate with credibility and confidence, handle difficult people and how to<br />

take positive steps to turning problem relationships around.<br />
