Altar Servers of the Month Awards
Altar Servers of the Month for June and July have been
announced. Congratulations to:

For July: Jairo Diaz
Both have been serving for approximately 1 and a half
years and have been dependable in their attendance,
attentive to their duties, and prayerful in their participation
in the Mass. Thank you, Cesar and Jairo, for your continued
service at the Altar of the Lord!
Tamale Sale Today: The young adult group
Caminando con Cristo is selling their delicious
homemade tamales today after Masses while supplies
last! Funds raised will be used for their upcoming
retreat.

St. Paul Mission Circle extends its deepest
gratitude to the parishioners of Our
Lady of Guadalupe parish for the enthusiastic
and generous response in the
amount of $10,587.50 to our recent appeal
on behalf of the missionaries we serve.
We are overwhelmed with joy that we will
be able to send them “bonus” checks beyond
our usual monthly donation. We know that the monies
will be well spent on behalf of those they serve. Again,
thank you so much for your generous missionary spirit!
2nd Annual Quilt Raffle
The St. Paul Mission Circle ladies have
again sewn a beautiful quilt to be raffled,
with the proceeds to go to the 8 missionaries
we support. A second raffle is offered for
a stunning embroidered table cloth. Tickets will
go on sale in Jason’s Patio at Sunday Masses today,
Aug. 25. Tickets are $1 each or 6 for $5. You may also
contact Betsy King (562) 691-5002 or any Mission Circle
member for more information. We thank our parishioners
for all your support.

district to participate in a historic,
prayerful religious procession hosted
by St. Angela Merici Church to Rep.
Royce's office at 210 W. Birch in Brea (less than one mile
from parish) to urge Rep. Royce to lead on and to vote for
just, compassionate and comprehensive Immigration Reform,
with an earned pathway to citizenship.

after Mass TODAY. These cards will be delivered to Rep.
Royce by the bishops at the conclusion of the procession.
Women’s Bible Study at OLG
Join the Women’s Bible Study in reviewing the Scriptural
Study of Angels from September 13, 2013, thru May
2014. All levels of experience are welcome. Classes are
held from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Fridays in the Faith Formation
lounge. The cost for study materials is $60.00 per
person.

The Catholic Experience: a small group exploration
of the beliefs and practices of the Catholic Church,
through the lens of spirituality and psychology, for: adults
thinking about joining the Church, Catholic adults seeking
Confirmation, returning Catholics, and fully initiated Catholics
who may not have had the opportunity to enrich the
understanding of their faith since Confirmation. More information
