Encumbrances for Project and Fiscal Periods<br />
• An encumbrance is a commitment to pay for goods and/or services reflected in a<br />
budget (e.g. a Purchase Order or salary commitment).<br />
• Encumbrances on Projects will be recorded against a Project Life and a Fiscal<br />
