EVENTS FILL SNO-DAYS WEEK<br />
The Sno-Days activities began with voting for King<br />
and Queen and the movie, “Big Jake”.<br />
The Coronation Banquet was held Tuesday in Bede<br />
Hall. Queen candidates were Marie Dahlgren, Marcia<br />
Denison, Lynn Finstad and Peggy Lura. Candidates<br />
for King were Doug Aretz, Thomas Feiro, Ron<br />
Heiraas and Dale Hoff.<br />
Peggy and Tom were crowned by 1974 Sno-Days<br />
Queen and King, Jan Oen and Willie Clayton. Homecoming<br />
Queen Lila Torgerson was special guest.<br />
Provost Sahlstrom presented roses to Peggy.<br />
Later that evening the King and Queen were presented<br />
during halftime at the basketball game with<br />
Northland. Hockeyball was played at the arena following<br />
the basketball game. On Wednesday, UMC<br />
defeated Northland in hockey 8-1. <strong>Trojan</strong> wrestlers<br />
were defeated in Thursday’s match with Wahpeton.<br />
Basketball against Vermillion Friday found the <strong>Trojan</strong>s<br />
victorious. The Uglies then played for the semiformal<br />
dance.<br />
Hockeyball games were played as part of Sno-Days<br />
events. Peter’s Puckers defeated Mort’s Mothers, and<br />
Kamikaza Klan won over the OEA Sweethearts.<br />
Vets, Morris Most, John Anderson, Marv Wiertzema and Wayne Skarie, construct their winning snow<br />
sculpture “Support Your Ball Club”.<br />
