Warsaw, Indiana: Terry Dowell & Mike Johnson made it<br />
two in a row, winning this annual event on April 9 & 10,<br />
<strong>2004</strong>. Eleven tough teams battled for over $5K in entry &<br />
sponsor sales. Runners-up were Mike Koontz & Dennis<br />
Kinsey and third place went to Gary Neff & Brian Collins,<br />
all from IN. Players from Ohio, Kentucky & Michigan came<br />
in for the “fun”. “I love these Round Robins, but it sure<br />
takes It out of you”, noted Susie Halstead. “It’ll be another<br />
year before I’m ready to play in one of these again”.<br />
There are no events scheduled at the Eagles this<br />
summer. Next tournament will be in September, but the<br />
date has yet to be verified. It will be posted in The <strong>Board</strong><br />
<strong>Talk</strong> and on the Indiana tournament schedule in Calendar<br />
of Events.<br />

Arlington, Texas: Tom Johnson's Gold Nugget hosted the<br />
Texas State Championship on April 28-<strong>May</strong> 2. While the<br />
tournament was not as large as some in the past, there was<br />
great <strong>com</strong>petition and many people said how much they<br />
had enjoyed themselves. Thanks to C.W. Walker, Tom,<br />
Kelly Cameron, and Johnny Wayne Crawford for their board<br />
setup help. Johnny Wayne mixed dust that was vastly<br />
superior to any on the planet. Jerri Williams did a wonderful<br />
job with registration and brackets and KK and her girls had<br />
a great checken dinner for everyone on Saturday. We were<br />
glad to see Robert Hurst Jr, as he had not been here in a<br />
number of years. Harold "Catfish" Carter came by and he<br />
and David Williams took on all challengers. Texas (by far)<br />
has some of the best players in the Nation and welome all<br />
challenges! Draw (no photos) winners were 1st: Mike<br />
Taylor/David Veasey; 2nd: David Williams Jr/ Greg Hixon;<br />
