The BBBS of NYC programs were created to respond to the long-term needs of our
Littles and to make a difference not only in the lives of our youngsters, but also to
the life of our city.

Traditional
Mentoring Program
The foundation of our
organization for a century,
this program matches youth
between the ages of 7 and 18,
with a one-to-one, caring adult
role model 21 years or older.
Each match relationship is
supported by a social worker.
Borough
Mentoring Program
The Bronx, Queens and
Brooklyn Borough Mentoring
Programs, follow the same
guidelines as the Traditional
Mentoring Program, with
the goal of bringing more
caring adults into the lives
of youth living within these
communities.
Workplace
Mentoring Program
This program introduces
students to the world of
business through a one-to-one
relationship with employees
of participating companies
on-site. Every other week,
students from area schools are
brought to companies in the
city where they meet with a Big
throughout the school year.
Juvenile Justice
Mentoring Program
The program’s goal is to
reduce delinquency and
prevent re-arrest, combining
intense case management
services and one-to-one
mentoring to help troubled
youth before they commit
more serious crimes.
