SR. Portfolio Manager
As the SR Portfolio Manager for Global Access to Sport [A2S], you are a critical member of the
Investment portfolio team with the same central mandate as everyone else on the team: turn every
Nike dollar into $100. Leverage Leverage Leverage - beyond what will be under your direct control to
deliver exponential impact on achieving the new global A2S mission.
The unique opportunity of this role is that the new mission of Global A2S is in its early days of
development. You, together with the other core team members, will be a vital part of sharpening the
overall strategy as the work unfolds and developing and executing against the priorities that result.
The overall goal is to harness Nike's vast assets and resources to invest with others to get the world to
move again. Too much of modern society has fallen into sedentary, inactive lifestyles and we are only
just beginning to grasp the consequences to society of that ongoing trend. The impact on the next
generation of kids is disproportionate - their physical and mental wellbeing is compromised from an
early age and their opportunity to reach their full potential significantly stifled without dramatic
efforts to reverse the normalization of inactivity, and lack of access to play & sport.
The new core start up team will need to be poised to deliver very quickly against a bold and
ambitious vision. All players on the team require high levels of intellectual (analytical & creative)
capacity, proven expertise in diverse internal/ external relationship management, strong aptitude for
innovation, flexibility in experience and competency and consistency in delivering high quality
results.
Specifically, you report into the Investment Director and will be accountable for supporting the A2S
investment portfolio strategy, process and execution of the investment portfolio to maximize
learnings, scale, leverage and impact. You will design and make investment recommendations
typically through significant liaison and counsel from external specialists; the investments will

ecome a key global source of best practices on delivery of sport programs, and other broad based
physical activity programs. You will also direct all aspects of a portfolio of grantee and external
partnership relationships including but not limited to: programmatic advice, partnership
communications, alignment with measurement & evaluation frameworks, funds flow checkpoints,
investment progress updates and administration. You will coordinate with other key parts of the
Nike organization such as the SB&I lab, SB&I marketplace, N7 team and other groups where
synergies and investments can be co-leveraged, or best practices shared.
Qualifications
Requirements for the position include:
• Bachelor's degree in Business, Strategic Planning, Investment Management or International
Development.
• Masters or post-graduate study preferred.
• At least twelve to ten years of business management experience required.
• Proven experience managing all aspects of a high impact investment portfolio, including program
design, impact evaluation framework, communications opportunities, long term financial planning.
• Excellent understanding of advocacy strategies and how they influence the investment process.
• Proven experience engaging diverse stakeholders in public and private sector (multinational and
bilateral organizations, national governments, private donors, research organizations, academic
institutions, and non-governmental organizations).
• Understanding of global consumer trends and markets would be a strong asset.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills with proven ability to conduct / facilitate
meetings / strategy sessions.
• Ability to effectively communicate complex and/or controversial topics and concepts to a wide and
diverse audience.
• Ability to effectively elevate strategic concerns to senior management in a timely and accurate
manner.
• Prior experience leading cross-team collaboration.
• Demonstrated leadership in fostering continuous learning and team empowerment and
involvement.
