EDALE YHA ACTIVITY CENTRE
YHA Edale is a large country house, set in its own grounds on the
hillside of the Kinder Plateau with magnificent views of Mam Tor and
Lose Hill. Programmes of study in subjects such as transport, quarrying,
impact of mineral extraction, settlements, upland farming plus
management and land use can all be delivered from YHA Edale
in partnership with Losehill Hall.
The centre is registered with the Adventure Activities Licensing Authority
to provide specified activities under the following headings:
caving, climbing, trekking and watersports.

Accommodation
YHA HARTINGTON HALL
In the heart of the Peak District National Park at the north end of
Dovedale, Hartington Hall is a magnificent 17th Century manor house
on the edge of the village. The building retains many of its period
features such as oak panelling, open fireplaces and boasts a room
where Bonnie Prince Charlie once slept.
Core activities for study in the village include economic development,
the effects of tourism and farming and sustainable land management.
