INTRODUCTION
We’ve been at it for years. But we started again. A blank sheet of paper
in a fresh notebook in the winter of 2009. Going back to our roots, riding
with mates, starting from scratch and in the 18months since, we’ve not
stopped. Ragley 2011 product is even fresher, even more applicable,
even more FUN.
Mud and grit, sweat and sweets, cuts, scars, nettle rash, and the
occasional broken bone. But the bikes are still there. Laughing at us as
we fail that technical step down turn, that climb past the tree, that left
turn out of the rut and down the bank.
We’ve spread wide in our short time. Riders from the USA, Phillippines,
New Zealand, even Mytholmroyd and with better worldwide
distribution for the year ahead, we hope to spread wider.
Our new models grow from what we started. We’ve increased our
focus on steel frames, with the addition of three more models. We’ve
massively updated the current Blue Pig model to push it on even further
ahead of anything else that’s around. We’ve partnered with acclaimed
tubing brand True Temper to create a new interpretation of their OX
Platinium tubeset, in our own Fathead externally butted configuration.
We hope you like what we’ve done. We’ve certainly enjoyed bringing it
to this point. Now it’s your turn.
Brant Richards - Ragley

www.ragleybikes.com
BLUE PIG
Modern classic long travel hardball. When it appeared in 2009 it was
groundbreaking. Now for 2011, we’ve refined every single tube and component
to improve it even more, but the geometry is unchanged - with 140/150mm fork
compatiblity. Custom butted Fathead top and downtimes allow us to remove
gussets for cleaner lines, higher strength and lower weight. A tapered seat tube gives
you “dropper” compatibility with it’s 30.9mm seatpost size. The headtube uses the
44mm ID standard, allowing regular, tapered or 1.5in forks to fit - is this a steel frame
first Our unique 3-finger-bridge gets investment cast in chromoly, and matched to
Fathead chainstays, externally butted near the BB for extra strength and stiffness.
ISCG mounts get added, and the BB’s machined inside to save weight. Win. Bolt on
cable guides, fastened with stainless bolts, new profile rear stays for less weight, a
better ride and more lateral stiffness round out the features.
Blue Pig is a blend of DH stability with uphill tenacity. It’ll climb and descend with such
contradiction, you’ll be left scratching your head and grinning a lot.
BLUE PIG X
True Temper OX Platinum model of our classic Blue Pig. How do we improve on an
improved Blue Pig We go to the best steel manufacturers in the world, and work
with them on some new tubing. It’s our new Fathead tubing, but made for us in True
Temper OX Platinum - the ultimate thermophillic steel tubeset - one of those that
gets stronger when welded. The extra strength let’s us slim the walls down a little,
saving weight and improving ride over regular chromoly. Other frame details remain
the same - a tapered seat tube gives you “dropper” compatibility with it’s 30.9mm
seatpost size. The headtube uses the 44mm ID standard, allowing regular, tapered
or 1.5in forks to fit - is this a steel frame first
We didn’t stop there. Our unique 3-finger-bridge gets investment cast in chromoly,
and matched to Fathead chainstays, externally butted near the BB for extra strength
and stiffness, and we’re offering an option with DMR Swopout dropouts so you can
run Maxle, or QR. Bolt on cable guides, fastened with stainless bolts, new profile rear
stays for less weight, a better ride and more lateral stiffness round out the features.
Blue Pig X adds to the Ragley feel by losing weight and gaining ride quality. It’s
amazing.
PIGLET
QED
QED - singlespeeds With our reputation.
We have a history with singlespeeds, and people kept asking. And saying NO was
getting quite annoying for everyone. So with our new rear stay design, and with a
few other things, we thought, why not. Geometry is the same as the new Piglet, as
we think singlespeeds should be shorter rather than longer travel. But if you really
disagree, you can run something longer. It’s dedicated, purposefully singlespeed
only. With no extra bosses or mess. Just ride.
Head angle: 68.5deg (66.6deg unsagged)
Piglet - Have we gone sensible 120mm forks No! Just a little more mainstream.
We’ll admit that some of our designs are a little “out there”. We’ve had people used
to steep head angled XC bikes jump on our frames and talk of them feeling “odd”. We
decided to de-tune and re-tune and make something a little less eccentric, but still with
a host of Ragley features that people love. Piglet is a Baby Blue Pig, but with lots of
new features. A slimmer downtime saves weight but has Fathead strength. Geometry
is just a little steeper and designed around 120mm forks. The new investment cast
3-finger-bridge protects your frame against chainsuck and improves tyre clearance.
Conventional rear stays make people stare less and simplify cable routing - which is
still bolt-on. Piglet’s the bike for hardcore riding, for sure, but we think it’s for people
that ride with their saddle up more than their saddle down.
BAGGER 288 & TROOF
TROOF
For all of you that asked. We did it.
We found when we made a frame for 140mm forks, people
ask us if it’d take 160’s. We said yes. And it did. But for
2011, we decided to do a full-on 160mm frame - and we’re
sure people will ask about 180’s. And yes. It’ll be fine.
Slacker, tougher, crazier. Head angle’s kicked back half a
degree. BB drop is increased 5mm to lower things a bit.
Trust us. It’s ace.
Dropouts are licenced DMR Swopouts. So you can run
Maxle, or QR. Maxle makes sense when you’re bashing
things hard.
And you’ve a choice of materials - alloy or steel. But
the rest Same stuff. Same as we give everyone else.
CRAGGVALE
The British Winter is a cruel thing. And a British Winter Training Bike needs to be well equipped to cope.
Trying to help the rider cope with that annoying wetness, bad traffic, poor driving, bad light. We made
this our aim with the Cragg Vale, named after a local training hill, with the longest uninteruppted climb in
the UK. Reflective decals help give you a fighting chance against “Sorry mate, I didn’t see you.” With a
classic geometry, with a nod towards longer top tube length, we keep the top tube mostly horizontal for a
look that distinguishes you from the masses, and will get sage nods from old men with clips and straps.
Hand welded from 7005-T6 alloy, and available with our own model winter mudguards, this is the one
for the long dark nights. And dark days.

CARNEGIE MTB CARBON RISER BAR
We’ve done our time with “alt” bar designs, and we know what can
work. We know that people that like them, really like them, and
those that don’t, well, they stand and stare.
So we threw technology at it. If you’re going to make a different bar,
let’s make it really different - but not just for the sake of it. Carbon,
and not just any carbon but Toray T-700 carbon, and covered with
a dual layer wrap of Dupont Kevlar. Nobody else does this and we
don’t know why.... T700 is used for structural strength, and Kevlar
for it’s abrasion resistant properties - protecting the inner carbon
from knocks and scratches. Makes sense, even if you think the
bar doesn’t eh
Features:
* Same geometry as the acclaimed Carnegie alloy bar
* Around 3x the deflection for a load... resilient ride.
* Sub 200g weight
* Raw, Black or White finish.
* 31.8mm clamp, 685mm wide

CARNEGIE MTB FLAT BAR
Alternative style mtb bar with 25deg backsweep. Oversize bar clamp for strength and stiffness
when you’re hauling. Spec is a with 685mm tip-to-tip, which as the bars are angled makes them
feel like a true trail-worthy 700mm bar. That’s 27.5in. They can be trimmed, a little, but the width
is great for control - we like it this way. Now available in two version - the regular one with 1in
rise, and a flipped version with 1in drop for people wanting a low front end, and a flat version for
those that can’t decide.
Features:
• 7075 triple butted tubing - the very best out there. Heat treated. Shot peened
• Black anodised
• Tested to exceed the new stringent CEN standard.
• Clamp size - 31.8mm
• Weight is under 300g
WISER BARS
We’ve not just got a thing about weird handlebars. We wanted to apply some technology and add
options for regular bars too. 720mm works for us, so that’s our standard width. We offer 25 and
38mm rises for shorter and taller riders. We offer carbon and alloy models too…
Wiser Carbon
Using our experience from the Carnegie project, we used a Toray T-700 carbon structural element,
and a DuPont Kevlar outer wrap to protect the carbon elements of bar from any trail based damage.
8deg back and 5deg upsweep round out the package.
Wiser Alloy
A cool effective 720mm bar with 8/5 geometry in 7075-T6 alloy. Reliable and dependable, but the
right width without you having to take out a hacksaw.
* Drawn 7075-T6 alloy tubing
* 720mm wide
* 8deg backsweep, 5deg upsweep
* Shot peen anodised finish for maximum durability
* Sub 200g weight, but maximum strength
* 720mm wide
* 8deg backsweep, 5deg upsweep
* Toray T-700 carbon wrapped with DuPont Kevlar

SPIKE SEATPOST
Thought you’d seen it all Here’s a new seatpost
that makes re-setting your saddle to the right
height easier than ever before. No bits of string or
centre punch marks, or scratches... Ragley’s spiral
graphic helps you set your saddle height faster
than ever, without having to grovel behind your
bike and try to look at numbers that have worn off.
Add to that a bomb proof, lightweight,
micro-adjustable clamp, 25mm off offset
and a saddle-rail friendly design, and you’re
laughing. 7075T6 alloy shaft, 400mm length.
STUBBING STEM
CNC’d from a solid billet of 7075-T6 alloy, the Stubbing
stem is designed to hold your bars securely
whatever moves you’re pulling. With a Lock-Down
clamping mechanism, the top of the bar clamp locks
shut, and tension for bar clamping is taken care of
by the two lower bolts - avoiding any problems with
uneven tensioning across the faceplate.
Three lengths but only 5mm difference between
each let you choose the exact right length for your
fun hardtail. With only 50, 55 or 60mm to choose
from, you can see we encourage short-stem use,
with a matching wide bar being a great complementary
addition.
Features:
• CNC’d from 7075-T6 alloy
• Bead blasted to remove surface stresses
• Lock-down top clamp for tensioning precision
